Ajeeper's 1997 Ford Ranger Buford, GA - 1

This is my first real truck that started it all. It was a 1987 Ford Ranger Super Cab with a Rancho 4"Pre Runner Lift kit.

It had allot of drive line goodies on it including a (Then populare) JBA exhaust which was really nice, Mallory Ignition. Ford Motorsport Performance Fuel Pump. Rancho Traction bars, Skid Plates, Rear Axle Truss. and Micky Thompson 29.50 X12.50 15"s A size they no longer make but a great tire for the Sand dunes of Silver Lake Michigan.

The best thing about this truck is you could pound it to death off road then air the tires up and drive it 300+ miles home. Never had a break down of any major nature except for the Clutch after 7 years of off roading which I then installed a Centerforce set up.. I had it in the Rancho booth at one of the Indy Jamboree's in the early 90's and took it to a Jamboree in Davenport Iowa area as well so It defently got around.

I had it for almost 10 years before I sold it. Even though We moved to Georgia back in 98, I still get reports of sighting and last reported 6 months ago it was still roaming South Western Michigan. Never took allot of pictures of it but then again  I guess I was too busy driving it.

I thought about doing the 5.0, actualy i had it priced out, hard the motor located i was going to use, then had a little financial crisis in my family. Had to scrap the plan for a little while. Now that I can finaly get back to working on it, I realize i don't have the pactience or skill required for the 5.0 swap. The 4.0 will give me all the power I am looking for. I have a 78 trans am for balls to the wall power if yea know what i mean. (i am working on getting good pics of it to show on here.) :-D But thank you for the input.

NICE! I can remember when I got bit by the bug myself. LONG story! As for my Tracker, to answer your question I gave 3500 for it, but it needed a windshield and could use a paint job.
