I Always wanted to build an e36 car from scratch and in 2005 i began my project. I bought the car for just over 3k bone stock out of maryland. it was in pretty rough shape when i got it but i planned to do a full restoration so in wasnt too worried. When i got the car back to Atlanta the work began... I refurbished the chassis and subframe and then put the car in for body/paint work. when it rolled out of the paint shop i had the new lights all the way around installed. I then went and got the new wheels, tires and suspension done just one week later. The car was really starting to come together!! just 2 weeks after i bought it i ordered the dinan package along with a uuc short shifter, polished headers, and the uuc exhaust. over time i have added numerous amounts of ///M3 components (seats, guages, fuel pumps, injectors, etc.). now it was time for an engine swap... i decided to do an m52 motor, obd1 converted with an m50 manifold (i like being the underdog to the s50/s52's)lol. As time goes on my reciepts for parts/labor are well over 20k but it was definately worth it. I will try and find some pics of the car the day i bought it to show the immense amount of work put in to this car , but for now this is how it stands: Hope you enjoy !!!
