Max recorded G's during Braking with current 225 width street tires was 1.28G's! :-D
And that was on the track, so I wasn't even close to locking them up! To be fair the tires were warmed up, be I think it's still impressive with relatively narrow street tires.

I like to give people Ride-alongs, it helps with Balast, lol
I've changed quite a few peoples' views about subarus after going head to head on the track against R-comp wearing Porsches, Hondas, Vettes, and Vipers.

A self-built, (With the help of a few friends) Street-legal Track car. Built to compete in Time Attack events and do NASA track days. Took about a year to turn the Rolling chassis into the brute seen here. Alot of Weight reduction steps have been taken, while maintaining a still streetable interior. Still has a carpet, for example. Most of the work was done und erneath, all the driveline, suspension, and brake components have replaced and improved over a base Impreza, while still being about 150 lbs. lighter than the Stock 2.5RS it was built out of. It's also been Featured and on the cover of Modified Magazine (Nov. '08 Issue).
