I also removed the hatch, rear suspension and gas tank. I have sold most of the body parts which is a bonus. I have all the parts I need and the MX-3 was almost free plus I used the rusty shell as a dumpster to clean out my garage! (which got picked-up for free). The MX-3 was a very good parts car the kid's father who owned it was a mechanic. This car was in perfect working order. Even the parking brake worked! I drove it home with cold air blastin' out of the A/C, the power moonroof open and the cruise control on. It was the best 2 hour drive in a $500.00 car I have ever had! It did not come with the tires, I got the cool 15" 5 spoke aluminum Mazda wheels though. Although it looked nice the car was rusted to the point of near structual failure. The MX-3 also had 340000KM and the engine burned about 2L of oil in 2 hours! James Bond style smoke screen action. Noboby tailgated me on the way home though! Right now I am trying to figure out what parts I need to replace and what parts are good enough to keep. The MX-3 had a new distributor, distributor cap / rotor/ wires, fuel pump, filler neck, front struts, good battery and recent brakes.
