oddball_racing's 1993 Mazda MX-6

I finally have this thing idling now, yay, woot! If you look closely at the picture below, you will realize that my MAF is not even sitting horizontal, in fact it is verticall mounted right below the 90 degree elbow. Well that totally screwed my idle. I replaced the straight peice coming off of the throttle body with the mass airflow sensor, cut the 90 a little shorter and mounted the filter back on the end of a short 45 on the bottom of the 90. Now the filter sits about 4 inches higher, doesn't need to be removed to check transmission fluid... and the car idles like a dream :)

This is an old underhood pic, the piping has been modified as mentioned above. I'll post pics whe i get some free time.

In addition to the QP damage, i made a bad decision to park behind my parents' driveway to bring some computers into the workshop and forgot to move my car. Well, my dad backed into my car... what a guy. Now sadly the passenger side door gets caught on the fender (that closely resembles the sight of this quarter panel) everytime you try to open the door.

Car looks good man. The KL-03 JDM computer is not a mandatory thing. You don't HAVE to replace it, but this company provides the option to buy the ECU along with the Engine & Tranny. www.streetimports.com Check out my MX-6 when ya get a chance and 5 stars!!

Oops, I meant, the North American KL-03 ECU is compatible with the KLZE engine, you don't have to replace the ECU for the JDM one.. but if you want, the link is provided. There we go, that makes more sense. lol
