This is my 1955 Ford F-100 pickup, me and my grandpa are building it up as a memorial truck in memory of my grandma and as a Cancer awareness truck. I have finally got in the pamphlets, booklets and dvd's from the American Cancer Society and the National Cancer Institute, they've been a big help so far with my goal to raise cancer awareness. when my truck is finished i will be using it for car shows and non profit events, and at either of the shows i will have a dvd playing about cancer awareness and have booklets out for it for onlookers to read about. Right now im looking for sponsors to sponsor my truck so i can finish it and tour the nation as the official cancer awareness truck. next year i hope to completely finish it so i can host TJ's Cancer Cruise to Colby ...all proceeds are going to the American Cancer Society. ,heres the trucks story....i bought it in july of 2008 for $3250. It came with a 350 chevy smallblock with a 2 barrel carb and a saginaw 3 speed manual floor shifter, none of the interior gauges worked except the odometer, lights, and choke. the tires that are on it are 10 wide front and rear so its quite fun to mess around with.....when it was running of coarse. ive had nothing but problems with that 350 chevy engine, first week i had it the fuel pump went out on it, then the shifter broke, and finally the saginaw tranny kept locking between 2 gears when i was trying to drive so i said enough is enough. as of right now the 350 engine and tranny are out and im working on the gauges, interior and frame. I will be putting a reliable 520 FORD v8 in it(bored over 460) as soon as i can afford it or i get sponsored. some of the future modifications i plan on doing are.....Mustang II front suspension ,sidepipes,4 link rear with a FORD 9' rear end ,power brakes,4 speed windshield wipers, tilt steering, and some av. but for the most part im leaving out all the stuff i dont need like air conditioning, and power steering.
