2007 Honda Civic Hybrid

This is my commuting machine.  It is pretty good for long trips also with the 4 doors and a reasonably sized trunk.  When gas was over $4 a gallon this was a lifesaver.  Keep the tires well inflated at something like 36 psi and it will get over 40 MPG at anything under 75 mph.  Draft a semi and go downhill and watch out!

The dashboard is quite informative with MPH in 1 inch high digital display above tach to show everyone in the car how much you are speeding.  There is an MPG indicator and you can scroll through various other displays including two separate trip/MPG counters.  I use one for overall and one for the latest tank.  The plates are not vanity but we did paw through what was coming up and chose something that means something to us.  Our three regular cars are 391FP 392FP and 393FP while the 1969 Mach 1 is Mach 13.  FP stands for Forest Park High School where Lynne and I went to High School back in the 70's.

For my drag race time slips see page 2.

Anybody got a Hybrid time better than that in a car that can reach 50 MPG?

I hit the track for Grocery Getter Grudge Match at O'Reilley Raceway Park near Indy. The Civic Hybrid did great breaking into the 19.1 range and 73 MPH for the quarter mile. All at 40 MPG. MAndoes it look slow next to that Z06.
