Hi There!!

This page is dedicated to my 1992 Nissan Sentra SE with the GA16DE engine. I got the car in april of 2008 to replace my 1988 Sentra 2 door. Ever since i got it i´ve been working on the car to get it to my liking. Here is a pic showing how the car looked when I first got it

awse92's 1992 Nissan Sentra

It had stock 13 inch wheels, and some nasty ass "euro" style tail lamps. I did come fitted with the tsuru front conversion thought, much better than the original grill and headlights.

The interior has some nice bucket seats, the previous owner had them made for the car.

First off i changed, thanks to my mom the old Eclipse stereo the car had for a  Pioneer DEH 2050 and installed some Pioneer 6x9 inch speakers in the back. Up front I kept the Pioneer 6.5 ´s the car came with.

Then I changed the stock exhaust system for a 2 inch aluminized steel catback with a high flow 2 tip muffler, and later added a resonator to quiet things down, it was too damn loud.  We only have crush benders down here in Costa Rica.

Second on the list was to remove the RICE neon dash lights, I got a used gauge cluster and swapped it in. Much much better, and I have a visible clock now.

Engine wise, there isn´t much work done, except for a 3 inch intake which the owner had installed, it looks home made, but works well. I changed the Ractive filter it had for a K&N one. There are also NGK V Power plugs, Prestolite ignition wires, and I use Shell Helix yellow oil.   The engine had a lot of stuff painted red, which im slowly removing and painting gloss black with Engine Enamel.

My next project was to remove the ugly tail lights and replace them with the originals, and I also added the License Plate frame with the stop lights that comes from SE-R´s and 93-94 SE models.

These are some of the things you´ll need for the install besides the frame and bulbs:

-Metal Cutter

-18 gauge wire and splicers

- electrical tape

-a drill and 4 screws

-a couple nuts

-one morning, patience and imagination

Next up came the foglights. You can see the smoked Tsuru headlight conversion in this pic.

After all this I was desperate to get rid of the nasty stock wheels, so with my dad´s help I got some 15 inchers with Kumho Ecsta SPT tires, 195/50. MUCH MUCH BETTER than before!

After this i got Power Locks, since I already had a K-9 Classic alarm installed. This is great, especially when it rains!

Thats all that I´ve done for now, next things on my list are:

1- 4-2-1 Headers - DONE

2- Maybe upgrade the brakes with better rotors and pads, eventually swap in read disc brakes

3- GO TO THE DYNO

4- Definetly will need a tune up in a few months.

I´ll bw uploading more pictures as soon as I get more stuff done to the car.

PAINTED VALVE COVER

I finally got around to paint the valve cover on my engine! After a lot of work removing the old paint which had a white rubber base (wtf?), i sprayed it black, clear coated and polished the Nissan logo and the other words on it. Not as shiny as i wanted it to, but way better than before.
