kylediablo's 1994 GMC YukonThis is my 94' GMC Yukon. I bought this ride as a piece of crap for 2k before i even had my license when i was 15. Well after a year on April 26, 2008 an hour before my junior prom, the last piece of the puzzle came together and the car came to life.

First let me tell you a little about myself. I am 17. I am a senior in highschool in Springfield IL. I have been into car audio since I have been a little kid. Back in 98' In got my first CA&E magazine and from there on i had a subscription to every car audio magazine availible. When i was a little older i started soaking up all of this useful info in these magazines and here i am now. MECP certified and well respected in my community. I have done over 300 various installs including over 100 custom subwoofer enclosures. Everyone at my school was always bragging about what they had or what they were wanting to get (usually done by me anyway lol) and i was tired of it. So i decided to go to the extreme and make a dream that i have had since i have been little come true.

Ever since i knew what a car was, i have always had an idea of my dream car and dream system. Well it started off like this.. just a normal old beat up 94' GMC Yukon that my dad found me for 2k. I had one of my friends who had a license drive it back to my house for me and started the dirty work.kylediablo's 1994 GMC Yukonkylediablo's 1994 GMC Yukon

These are some pics of the stock interior and stripping the entire vehicle.

Then the fun part starts. First off I, ME, MYSELF, built the entire vehicle. Sometimes people dont get the hint. The only thing i did not completly do by myself was roll pan work and paint. Thanks DAD lol. Everything else is all me.

Here are some pictures of the installation and paint & body work. This is only a few pics. The entire album of over 300 picture can be seen here. www.photobucket.com/projecttahoe

This installation took a little over 1 year to complete. In all between me and my parents there is about 15k in it, not tincluding the car itself.

So here it is.. April 26th 2008, first day done.

This is the final list of mods of pretty much all of the important stuff i could think of. Anyone who has customized their own car by themselves knows that thier is much more involved to make it all work. In the end between me and my parents we have put around 15k into it.

Over the summer I have been to alot of local car shows and taken home 1st and 2nd place trophies in over 75% of the shows. Including best interior in the FC Customs Midwest Charity Cruise, which had over 1500 cars. Of these shows i have only been to 1 sound competition. Thier arent very many shops in my area that have shows. I took first place in class 5 in the Cone Area based SPL challenge. My best reading on my meter has been a 148.2. For a total of 900 watts on the entry level woofers i was pretty happy.

It gets alot of attention with the car, especially at car shows. People think its pretty cool that i built this at only 16 years old. Im 17 now, and im planning some upgrades for over the winter when i will not be driving it.

I have alot of the equipment already. My pgrade includes:
-Fi SSD 12'' subwoofers replacing the Kickers
-MA Audio 802sx amplifiers for the woofers
-Kinetik HC2400 battery replacing the optimas
-Kinetik HC16v 16volt batteries running the MA amps
-Iraggi 250amp Alternator + dual alt kit for MA amps
 -Stinger 1/0 Power wire
-Shaved door handles and remote control
-Dual stainless exhaust with propane flame throwers
 -250gb harddrive with music
 -Much more.
