A Factory Five Racing Type 65 Coupe set a new land speed world record at Bonneville, clocking in at 216.9mph! The FFR Coupe was built by SoFast Racing Team and competed in class C, blown fuel modified sports, with an estimated 700 hp 347 Ford small block.
Factory Five Racing sponsored the crew at Sofast by supplying the frame, body and other major components.
In 1965, an original Daytona Coupe set the class G world record, running 186 mph. Factory Five Racing’s Type 65 Coupe is the fastest car to ever run at Bonneville, replica or original. Factory Five congratulates the entire team at SoFast for its remarkable accomplishment.
