Hey, my name is Dave, and im 19yrs old. i bought this truck (bright platnum 2000 dodge durango slt+ 4.7L 287ci 4x4)with 139,000 miles, and it blew up at 147,500(defective head resulting in no compression in cyl#2) so i put a brand new long block in it with aftermarket port and polished mopar heads, and valves and now the motor has only 2,600 miles on it:) but it costed me and my dad about $4,500. i have installed a cold air intake, cat back exhaust to a flowmaster super 44 muffler, and 6"chrome tip. All new plugs, coils, sensors so the whole damn thing is brand new. Im getting about 300 rear wheel horse, and got her up to 116mph with a lift and 33" tires, still had some pedal left, but no road. i have clear corner headlights, grill inserts, tinted taillights, and shaved all the badges. i painted the rear diff, cross member and subframe blue, i had the windows tinted 20% front, and 5% back, with 5% sunstrip. I painted my stock wheels with graphit metallic rim paint, costed $5 :) and wrapped them in BFG t/a ko 33"x11.5"x15. i installed a 3" tortion key lift up front, and 3" leaf shackels in the rear, which gave it a nice stocky stance. Added new suspension/steering components,(balljoints, tie rod ends, bump stops etc.) and rubberized undercoated the whole truck. For the interrior, i got white face guages, climate controll bezel, and headlight switch panel. i painted a few panels white to match, and i plan on suadeing the headliner black soon. i have a pioneer headunit, planet audio speakers/tweeters, with 4 total crossovers, and a planet audio rxd1400 2000watt class d amplifier, powering pioneer tws3001d2 subs. 3000watt max, and a very loud but inexpinsive subwoofer. i also added two optimum red top batteries, and kicker 4guage wire all around. i use it like a truck, and take it mudding and hunting all the time. performs great, and its decently quick for a full size 4x4 suv. Future mods consist of: 70mm throttle body and spacer, jba shorty headers, ecm tuner/programmer, crane cams, steering stabilizers, new tough country 9000 shocks, new calipers with cross drilled/slotted rotors, MSD ignition, a-pillar guage pod w. gauges, and 4:10 gear. i will soon have new pics up, so please let me know what you think. Thats my rango, hope you all like it. Feel free to commenttt!
