OK..... well far starters, i bought the beast LOL you see here as a daily driver, with the intention to build a PROMO car for my Fibregalss car audio and Bodykit Repair business......

In the 2 years i have owned it i haven't really done much to it as work and family life is flat out at the moment with no sign of slowing down so i've decided to bite the bullet and get the ball rolling......

ICE (In-Car Entertainment)

First on the list was a new stereo and being in the business i really just wanted to make a good base to work from.... so naturally first thing on the list was a InDash DVD player... i went with the KENWOOD 7.5" double din for it's features and upgrade/add-on components, eg, bluetooth, sat nav, reversing cam, aux input for playstation, capabilities to add more screens at a later date and the ease of crap loads of music at a touch.......after that was deciding on speakers and amps which is still not sorted yet but i got a pair of Blaupunkt 6.5" splits up front in fibreglass pods.. CLARION 6" 3-ways in rear stock position, typical cabling for amps, RCA's X3 from headunit to rear...current amps are 1X 250w RMS JVC 2-Channel amp for front splits, rear 3-ways currently receiving signals from head unit, and a 360W 4 channel ALPINE amp for a woofer and rear speakers...... so definately more stereo hardware to come................................

Planned install will be 6 X 10" woofers, 19" LCD and Splits in boot/Hatch, all with custom fibreglass enclosures, upgraded front speakers and amp rear speakers........ fibreglass absolutely EVERYWHERE...doors card, floor, boot install, ceiling, etc etc..............

Interior

At the moment the interior is relatively stock besides the gearshift boot and blue L.E.D's to light drivers side footwell when door is opened....plans include......Complete fibreglass floor instead of carpet but will keep underlay for sound deadening purposes, completely re-moulded and fibreglass door cards/skins, re-upholstered seats, dash with fibreglass guage pods, fibreglass roof lining with down-lights etc, fibreglass rear interior panels with monitors moulded in for my kids to watch movies on long trips as most of our relatives live more than 3 hours away all fibreglass will be painted and polished for hard wearing and good looks.

Exterior

at this point in time i'm still unsure on paint and colour but it will definately have a wide-body kit, bigger wheels, custom made side skirts that i will make myself, carbon fibre bonnet/hood, roof scoop, carbon fibre rear wing, tinted windows, etc etc

Engine and driveline

Currently stock.. 2.2 litre inline 4 cylinder, FF platform motor and gearbox....the only addition so far is cat back 2.5" and twin cannons......

In the works (very shortly) is a 99 model toyota camry 1MZ-FE V6, FF keeping my stock gearbox, and upgrading brakes, drivetrain, and suspension.. once conversion is complete and i am happy with the way it is all progressing and get bored with the stock power of the V6 i will be looking into either a supercharger or turbo set up...

As this car will be a daily Driver and more then likely won't be seeing a race track, Suspension mods will either be very little or to the extreme of an air bag/strut set up to drop it on it's ass at shows and to minimise any damage to kit when in motion.......

So far this is where i am at and am always thinking of something to do to it, so when it all comes together it will be one of the best days..............

Keep track of this build hopefully i can help you out or give ya some ideas, and who knows maybe even convert ya to a celica owner...........lol

detailed updates will follow as work gets done so keep checing back to follow progress...................................HOPE YOU ALL ENJOY THE JOURNEY.........

purchased a 3/96  3vz-fe manual camry wagon for real cheap..............

fibrewizard's 1991 Toyota Celicafibrewizard's 1991 Toyota Celica

motor has been removed from halfcut as well as other bits and pieces that i need for the conversion such as struts, calipers, hubs, charcoal cannisters gearbox CV's etc etc...............

since i have to use 3vzfe gearbox as laws wont let me use 5sfe box........... i now need custom made front springs so i can put my celica strut tops and custom springs onto camry struts and then place them into the celica..................

 fibrewizard's 1991 Toyota Celicafibrewizard's 1991 Toyota Celica

this will also allow me to convert the front hubs, calipers and rotors to the upgraded 3vz-fe one to allow me to pass australian laws on conversion the only drama i have now is the CV's and will cross that road when i get to it but in the meantime i will need to do some research as to whether they will be too long or too short or (hopefully) be the right length

So at the moment no update on conversion as i haven't really had the time to spend on it........

however i have still been doing alot of research and it seems likely that the ST185 gt4 celica CV'S will fit.....yet to confirm this but thats the way it's looking at the moment....................

NEW WING

fibrewizard's 1991 Toyota Celicafibrewizard's 1991 Toyota Celica

ok well the wing is obviously not going to be mounted on top of stock wing...........this was just to gauge the fitment and to snap some pics.............. i have since removed the stock wing. and am preparing to mount..........

next on my to do list is finish conversion, upgrade brakes and suspension.....so going to be very busy till after january.....................
