This is my 88 323 which I purchased in September of 2001. When I bought it, the car already had the B6T (Engine from the 323GT(X)'s) and the Type-G transmission. The previous owner also installed the GT suspension, all-wheel disc brakes, wheels, dash and seats. I drove the car for about 4 months after I bought it, doing small upgrades as I went. I eventually had the stock turbo hitting 22psi of boost with a bunch of fuel mods. The thing was insane at 22psi, but unfortunately the stock 13 year-old head gasket didn't like that too much, so it split.. So, I took the engine and tranny out and rebuilt them. I stripped the engine compartment completely, stripped all the paint, and repainted it. (For more pics from the earlier stages to the rebuild, click here) . I basically rebuilt the engine to factory spec with new rings, gaskets, seals, bearings, etc, and a port n polish to the head. Since the rebuild started, I've added a ton of mods; Garret T3 turbo on a custom exhaust manifold, DEI Exhaust Wrap, Turbonetics Deltagate, 2.5" turbo-back custom exhaust, Mitsubishi Starion Intercooler, 2.5" intake piping, Greddy Type-S BOV, MSD 6AL ignition & Blaster SS coil, Accel spark plug wires, Cartech Fuel Management Unit, Venom In-tank Fuel Pump, Venom-Bosch inline fuel pump (sitting on my desk, not installed yet) 3/8 steel braided fuel line from the tank to the rail, AEM fuel filter, 450cc injectors, AEM air filter, Turbo XS boost controller (not pictured), remote oil filter, FAL Radiator fan, Ground control coil-overs, KYB GR-2's (modified so the Ground Controls would sit flush oon the spring perch), Custom front and rear billet aluminum strut tower bars, ADR DTM rims with 205-40-ZR17 Kumho Ecsta's, Momo Champion Steering wheel, Autometer 5" Tach w/shift light, Autometer Boost, AFR, oil pressure & temperature, fuel pressure and water temp guages. Battery relocated to the trunk. Custom dash w/computer monitor and guages integrated in dash. I keep it all in my name with a Clifford Concept 600 alarm with tilt, motion, shock and mercury sensors. Pegasus Technologies' VectorTrac RF Vehicle tracking system. Also had to have the Clifford intellistart. Tunes, Sony deck, Pioneer 7 band EQ, Blaupunkt 6 channel amp, Boston Acoustics mids n tweets, and a kickass sub box with (2) 6 1/2" woofers in a crazy bandpass (the thing frickin pounds!)
Keep in mind that the car is dirty from sitting for so long, and it's in dire need of a paint and body job.
Well, that's enough babbling from me.

Outside shot.

In the near future, it'll be getting window tints, roll cage, body n paint, aluminum sheetmetal interior, Momo seats, 5 point harnesses and a standalone. Once I get that stuff done, I'll be much happier with it. :D

Update May 9th, 2003

Well, I decided to take the car out for a nice, quiet drive and ran into some bad luck. Seems something in the fuel system gave up and I ended up detonating the snot out of the motor. Needless to say, it's done for good.
So now I have a BP from an Escort GT sitting in my garage waiting for a makeover. I'll post pics and info as things happen.

R.I.P B6T :(
