90 Civic EE9 d15b2 

ok so this is my 90 Honda civic, i picked it up in october-ish of 2008 so its a fairly new project, i got it for 800 dollars from a friends uncle after my camry died out on me, which might i add was a beast ;) when i got my civic it was in pretty good condition, minor body damage the hood was chipped in a couple places and the fender was hit by something and he popped it out?? i have no idea he wouldnt tell me. it was sanded down and primed so its has some pretty crappy paint on it, its a flat red with some primer spots. he even gave me a head unit and a half gallon of paint with a gallon of thinner.  well thats the jist nothing to special.  

 

 

so far it has came a long way from where it was, only 9 months later and its a beast. still in work but its getting better :)

heres whats going on with it, 

 

 

ENGINE-

d15b2 1.5 liter with a dpfi intake 

its got JE rods and pistons bored to 1.6

apr headstuds

crower cam. 

port and polish on the dpfi manifold, and if anyone has a way to get the throttle body open all the way on it lemme know

1.5" header

2" exhaust

AEM intake

ngk spark plugs

new oem distrubutor

new oem cam gear cover

new oem starter

new oem alternator 

new oem radiator

new oem hoses

i have the whole intake system taken out instead of just the box. hah 

the windshield wiper fluid tank and lines taken out. and one other thing? hah cant remember.

INTERIOR-

semi gutted.

aftermarket RPM gauge

EDM EE9gauge cluster

EDM EE9 driver seat

EDM EE9 back seat

EDM EE9 center console

aftermaket steering wheel and hub. there both nock offs and suck balls.

4pt srr harness

EXTERIOR-

White vx rims, not the hx or dx. VX there EDM get over it

lowered on skunk 2's

VIS carbon fiber hood

Spoon carbon fiber mirrors

yellow headlight bulbs.

EDM EE9 markers lower and upper.

EDM EE9 side markers (need to put on)

EDM EE9 rear fog light. need to put in.

white stickers that match the rims. 

also the hatch is painted championship white to match the rims and stickers. it was gold.

 

 

 

 

Basically im going for EDM European status instead of JDM, everyone goes for jdm. im going for EDM.

suck it.

the body kit is cheap, cuz im getin it from a friend. and it doesnt look ricer. just lower and smoother lines. and the b-16, im gettin done at a shope. i want it done right.

the b18b1 feels pretty dece. i mean compared to the a6/y8 i had in there beforehand its wayyy faster. so much quicker all around, and a lot torquier in the lower rpms. i raced a 95 teg the other day with a gsr from 40 to 100. i had him the whole way until we got to about 100 and he only had me by about a half car or so. i stopped and talked to the guy after to figure out what he had in it and he was suprised all i had was the obd1 ls and a 93 ls tranny. from what i've seen in person and on youtube guys with my same setup in the ed/ef hatches have ran anywhere from low 15's to high 14's. i haven't ran mine yet (paranoid i'll break something lol) but i'm hoping to break 14's. my plans for this hatch though is to swap out the ls and drop in a gsr. from what i've seen i should be in the mid 13 territory with that.. but thats later down the line lol. the car i'm trying to get will most likely be a 1992-2000 2-door civic chassis, hatch or coupe doesn't really matter. i like both, although i slightly favor a coupe since i have a hatch already lol. it will already be swapped to a b-series engine of some sort and very likely be boosted. i've found some decent ones in good shape for around 5-6k.
