This is my first car.  I bought it for $600 in the middle of white county Georgia. It had 3 trees growing around it and was so dirty we thought it was red, haha. We had it towed to the house and cleaned it. the reason it is called "The Scorpion" is because we found 3 live scorpions when cleaning the trunk. my brother, Kurt, yelled "OH MY GGGOOOOODDDD!!!!" then ran into the garage got the biggest hammer he could find and completely obliterated 2 of the 3 scorpions. the 3rd had gotten away from the hammer that squished his 2 brothers. so far we have removed the engine, the grill, the hood, the seats, the transmission, the 37 year old rug and the gas tank. when we were removing the gas tank, the 3rd scorpion decided he wanted to see what was going on outside. Kurt saw him and used the same hammer and BANG! gone, no more scorpion. this is as far as we have gotten we are going to remove the shocks pretty soon. please leave suggestions

hey man with that roof i dont know how bad it is...you have to assess if its minor rust or if its rotting right through, and if thats the case then you need to totally cut out and replace the metal...be prepared to take your time if you want it done right, and spend twice what you plan too, because it always costs twice then what you planned restoring one of these cars...dont ever put a vinyl roof back on her, since as cool as they look, they just hold moisture in, giving you rust...post some more pics and good luck...if you want alot of great advice come log in at www.forabodiesonly.com ....great bunch of guys dedicated to the abody mopars, with lots of tech help, car porn, and good deals on stuff for sale...i recommend you check it out

More pictures please! If you havent run across my page yet, I have posted a couple of original 1971 Chrysler - Plymouth sales brochures. Check out what your car looked like in the original sales brochure, and some of the styles and options that were available in 1971. Its kinda cool! Also, check out all the work I have done to my car so far! Thanks.
