January 19, 2009 Update

Been awhile since I last updated so i figured i would let everyone know what has been up with "Optimus"

Last week I received my Pacesetter Longtubes and SLP Loudmouths. Put on the Longtubes 2 nights ago and ran open headers for a day, which was absolutely insane. was a 6 hr job. Find that pretty good for a highschool senior and 2 college freshman with absolutely NO experience in the department. Recorded a video but quality was bad due to the LOUDNESS!!! But seriously, the video does the open headers no justice. I'll try to have that up as soon as I find the time. In the meantime I am forced to drive mom's Yukon because Optimus is at the exhaust shop getting the Loudmouths and MagnaFlow X-Pipe put on. Should be finished tomorrow afternoon. Can't wait. I also added a Bullydog Triple Dog programmer. It is a very good programmer for none custom engines. I would definetly recommend it to anyone thinking about getting one. If you have questions feel free to ask. But after the Longtube install the engine is running very rich, therefore I am going to return the programmer and order a Nelson Tune. Can't wait for everything to come together. Will keep everyone updated on progress

Visually not much has changed. I intend on keeping the look I have now for the most part. I am strongly considering tinting the taillights with nightshades and clear. Feel free to put input on that choice in guestbook. I have tinted the foglights and turn signals with tint film. Looks good. I am considering ordering a Varad LED interior lighting kit. Just needs a little something extra inside. Also thinking about ordering some custom gauges. Who knows? Well I'm pretty sure that's about it. Peace

(haha we are in the process of having our shed rebuilt due to damage of gustav. It is currently roofless right now lol!!!)

so I have looked into it and decided to order a Nelson Engine tune instead of going the Hypertech route. I am also in the process of saving for my headers and exhaust

So here is the latest update:

     - Got my ride back from the shop Wednesday Oct. 29. Looks absolutely amazing with the newly added mods :) ... will have  pictures up as soon as I find the time to take them. Check back around Nov. 10-11th should have them up by then

     - Working on fixing up my dunebuggy so I can actually sell it and make some cash for all the future plans. Once I do, the first that will be bought is a Hypertech Max Energy programmer

     - Also trying to buy a 215/220 cam from a friend of mine and installing that sometime soon. May buy longtube headers from him if he doesn't like the set he ordered as well. I'm hoping he doesn't, lol.

This is my GMC Sierra Classic truck that I got in November of 2006. I recently put a new engine in it last year because of a mud riding incident. I have several interior and exterior mods done to the truck. I plan on adding 3" body lift, 37 Toyo M/T's, and 20x9 XD Black Hoss rims within a month. Also plan on getting a full exhaust system ran soon with Pacesetter LTs, cutouts, Dual SLP Loudmouth I Resonators, and true dual 3" pipes all the way back. Right now it has Flowmaster 40 Series 3in ID/2.5in OD, but I unbolted the muffler from the Y-pipe, so it's a bit louder with 3.5" Straight at the Y-Pipe. I might invest in a Texas Speed Stage 2.5 Heads and Cam and Richmond 5.13 gears. Not sure yet. Any suggestions on that, please let me know.

This is one sick truck!!! love th wheels! im thinkin ab goin with th 18"s! I know you put it on there th same time you put everything else on, but do you think th Xpipe gave you a deeper tone?? does your truck "flutter" any? on my '00 truck I had true duels, no cats, Flowmaster 40s, 3" tips n it fluttered a bit more than I like, n I was wonderin if th Xpipe helped on that too? Thanks!!
