Later on, I started having "overheating" problems. I open up the radiator cap and notice it's really low on water. I'd just top it off and drive it. But I couldn't figure out where it was going. So I got me a bottle of Bars Leak, dumped it in, took it for a drive, kept and eye on the level, and my problem was solved. I noticed the steam from the tailpipe was a lot less and I had a bit more power. "Ut oh, think my headgasket is goin'." I drove it for another year with the "Bars Leak" holding it together. It did pretty good.
Then she started to act up a bit. When I put it in drive, she'd spit, cough, whine, and bitch until I got going. Took her into the repair shop to have them check it out. Hole in the intake hose. They all get this problem, I hear. I fixed that and shran much better.
Then I had a misfire. Time for a new coil, cap, rotor, plug wires, and spark plugs. That fixed her right up. Good as new. Really hauls ass now!! Then 6 months later, the misfire came back. I refused to believe it was the ignition. Drove it to the shop and they ran some diagnostics. They suspected the mass air flow sensor. So my brother took it back home. He had trouble keeping it running. He kept redlining it and shit. I got another MAF sensor off eBay, put it in. But it didn't fix the problem. I almost gave up.
Here's a video of how the engine ran.
