The Smart Fortwo -

Fell in love with these cars from the begining. Then bought the 2008 model in early September! The Australian model is the same as the ones in Europe, the nice clear headlights and the classic alloy's.

Negativity -

The upsetting sides - the sunblind broke then next day I got it (wouldnt slide), and a black button like rectangle near where your head is also fell in. I thought I would get a better fuel consumption, im on averaging 400 - 500 km a tank...which im dissapointed with thinking that I wouldnt have to fill up every week!
Then Positive...
I love the ride, the interior, the questions about the car, a huge improvement, though to me the old smart and the new one are different. The old one still looks great and it will always have a different appearance - cute and toy like - new one - cute and toy like but more of a real car, looks and ride.

Interior -

Love the leather seats with heaters, the entire glass blind, the dash is fantastic and functional, quality buttons and I love the look of it with the chrome (premo pack) against the black and the orange lights. Though im used to steering wheel buttons, so would be nice to have but may take away the nice look of the chrome. The sound is great, so loud and love the text on the screen (if cd has the text enabled, e.g new sneaky sound system album comes up with song name and who by). For my ipod the shelf near ur knees sits my ipod in a perfect position to change songs. Good airconditioning, strong and blows the sweat away. The wippers have great interval speeds and pacing and the blinkers one touch 3 blinkers is fantastic for round abouts, lane changing and parking.

Exterior -

The wheels look great, good proportion and spokes blend gracefully from any angle of the car. Love the back angles, the front, the sides the top...the bottom...

Ride -

The power is good when needed, the 4wd's hate me sometimes haha, Im ok with the auto, but sometimes have to use gear shift levers to go down a gear for hill, or up a gear to go down hills. Love the gear shift paddles, there just fun but auto is smoothers when changing down gears. Round abouts with gear shifts paddles are rough when changing down a gear and sometimes auto doesnt respond quickly enough to change down gears or going around corners. Love turning and parking, dont have to reverse backwards and forwards.
Lovely Lovely car!
Would love to hear feedback one what others think!

Personally, I like 6 spoke design better too. I do not think that 18 will fit properly without heavy modifications or rubbing. We do have Smart Clubs here and few members rolling on 17th without any problems. Here is great sites for smart enthusiasts: http://evilution.co.uk/ http://www.smartcarofamerica.com/forums/ How difficult is to find aftermarket parts in your part of the world?

Thank you for your comments! There is 12-18 month waiting list to get one right now here in the States. They planning to bring 20K cars a year and already have 50K reservations (people who already put deposits). So I would say that it is popular. It is fairly new here and I get a lot "WTF! Look! Golf Cart just passed us doing 90mph?" Do you have any plans for yours? By the way, I like my "hideous mulitspoke alloys" and I removed yellow reflectors from the headlights!!!!! ;-)
