we made custom grilles for the bumper support cutouts left in the fenders after removing them.

also shaved the antenna, and turn signals, we replaced those with some led lights on the front as you can see.

after (almost done, bout half way there, now i need to do the finish work and paint)

hoping to add a stinger soon,OR MAYBE, a gt exhaust becouse the one i have annoys me, lol. 4 tips just dont look right to me,sound good though, but ya,  whatever,.. and some more performance parts to compliment my engine set up.. cuz, i mean, can you ever really have enough power??.. hahaha :-D

we have re done the interior, put in new carpet, custom steering wheel, fire ext.,  looks pretty sweet, and lowerd the front a bit more than it was....when i baught it it was lowered already but leveled. i wanted that nice tilt to it so we braught the front down. (WERE GONNA ROLL THE FENDERS AND DROP IT ABOUT ANOTHER INCH, STAY TUNNED FOR PIX.. IL LABEL THEM AS THE NEW PIX)

eventualy itl be and off-white color, with some black and chrome 911 fuchs wheels. then il lower the struts a bit more to tuck in those tires..... cant wait...

well let me know what you guys think of the bug so far

hurley209's 1974 Volkswagen Beetlenew pic! lowered about 1 1/2 - 2" more. and rigged up some early beetle euro blade bumpers...

 TAdA!!!

finaly, i found the paint i wanted, after quite a search, so my uncle and i got to work a saturday bright and ealy and got a chance to go out to the booth and spray.

this pic is actualy pretty late seing as how the work was done months ago but better late than never right?!

so after the body work and paint, the bug proceeded to sit on jack stand in my garage for about 2-3 months as i did some fab/customizing to be able to get the wheels to fit, and did the lowering and tunning stuff.( if you guys need an excellant machinist and your in the valley let me know il refer you to my guy.)

so after months of work and not posting it here TAdA!lol.. not done but close enought for now, i wana drive it..lol. winter will bring another phase of work on it.

but for now, FUN IN THE SUN!!

so the concept changed from what i was planning, but im super happy with the result, now its nowhere  near done, but alot closer to it.

there are still some things id like to redo to perfection.

so let me know what you think so far.
