This is my new baby.
My girlfriend is already jealous.

For those of you who didn't catch the label in the link that got you here it is a 2000 Saturn SC-1
I got it in early september, and have started playing around with a few modifications. My intent with this car is to touch it up, and make it really shine without being a total eye sore, and without blowing every dime that I have worked so hard for in the past several months. Keep in mind I am in college, and was poor to begin with, so don't be expecting a $30,000 mod list or anything like that.

Photo Album / Lame Tour of my Car
Exterior

This view shows my home-made eyelids and headlight covers pretty well
(they were added to seal up some rust repair on the front edge of the hood)
I'm still not certain how I feel about them, so feel free to comment on them positive or negative.

Here are the headlights on low beams, you can see the "white" bulbs in the clear corners and turns, and the super-blue lights in the headlamps.

Here's another view of low beam headlights

Here's a head-on view of the high beams. They're pretty cool, but a little heavy on the blue. It really distorts the coloring of things, and out in the country at night it seems a little dangerous.

These are the new painted drums. As soon as I can scrape up some cash there will be new rotors and calipers up front painted to match.

Here is a closer view of the modified emblems.
(yes I know my car is dirty, I'll get to it I swear)
and on with the tour...

Here you can see my door frame applique
(which was really just an easy way to seal up some rust repair work)
And then a little bit closer here.

And now back to random exterior shots...

Interior
My first photo documented interior mod is my short shifter.
Here are the "transitional" photos

Here is the shifter at factory length.

Here is my new super-special non-factory length shifter. I know, I know, it's just so amazing.

Here is my home-made short shifter, after I had re-installed the console, and cleaned up the mess.
Engine

Here you can see my random engine mods. As of yet they are few and weak, mostly due to the fact that I am almost flat broke at this time

This shows a good picture of my newly painted valve cover. It's nothing terribly special, but it is painted to match the brakes I just put on recently, and I hand painted the lettering, and a couple of other highlights.

So, after looking at these pictures a little bit it looks like my valve covers are hard-core photo-shopped. I'll try to get a good daytime shot so it doesn't look so weird.
So, thanks for stopping by, please feel free to comment, rate, and vote and I'll try to return the favor.
Toodles! :)
