Bumper painted whit spraycans, $9 each can. Its black but not good looking. Just have to wait for the rest of the car to be finishd so I can save cash to paint the car.

Paint is going on the front bumper and is taking alittle work. Since its my first time ever to do something like this. I also have the parts to fix my stereo and doorpanels whit fiberglass now. So work on that will begin soon :)

Started fittig the GTS lights. And soon getting the rust hole fixed by pros.

I tested out the 0-100 kmh only whit first and second gear. But the rev limiter hits in att 6200 i looks like, so I only got 96 kmh :( Would do a fast 0-100 if I could do it in second gear.

Also waxed the car today (02.06.09) and I can see that a have alot of small bubbles in the paint. The old owner had the car 10meters from open sea :( So I think that is why its going bad. Will do a full custom paint when im finish whit fittig bodykit anyway. It looks great even whit the bubbles !

Photos coming soon.

From the Day I got it :)

Got the car 26.09.08 for 38.000 kr. ($6400)

I just got my "new" Porsche 944 1983 moddle whit a stock 2.5L engine. I took a plane to Kristiansand (Norway) whit a friend to buy and drive it back to Bergen (Norway). The road is 550km long and takes around 7houers to drive, and i have to take two ferries. On the road the car was great and it was okay to steer even whitout power steering. But at 350km someting in the gear broke and we only had 3th and 4th gear the rest of the way :(

Sorry for bad english.

I swapped my Pre-1985.5 DME(Brain) for a late model one. I have read that you get a little more power down low. I did a bunch of other mods when I swapped mine so I can't verify how much of a difference it made. It did get rid of the 944-shudder you get on the early cars when you close the throttle from above 2K RPM, the engine drops below the normal idle of 950RPM down to 600RPM and then back to 950 and the engine performs a violent shudder. You must swap your AFM to match the DME if you do this though because they're designed to operate on different voltages. http://forums.rennlist.com/rennforums/924-931-944-951-968-forum/332426-late-dme-and-afm-in-early-944-a.html http://clarks-garage.com/shop-manual/elect-22.htm

Like what you did with it. I was thinking of doing a headlight conversion on my 944. Nice work on your front bumper, looks good!

to make the filter kit i bought some universal tubeing and cut it the main part is to make sure there are enough holes for your hoses. then as you can see the hoses connect at a splitter under the old rubber boot you need to change them out with some kind of new splitters.the only hard part was that every hose going to the splitters were all different sizes so if i remember correctly i re used the splitters just changed a hose or to to match the right sized hole(flopped the splitter around....but it might be easier to just change them out....if you have any quistions on any thing ive done just drop by my page

Hi there! Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment on my 944 project. Yeah, now with the widebody kit (adds a total of 4 inches), I am going to try and put some 10 inch rims on!! I am NOT looking forward to the price of tires though . Keep up the good work on your 944!! Best wishes
