I am posting this for a very, very good friend of my fiancee and I. His name is Rich and is also the owner of the D-Rex (the only 4x4 DeLorean), which can be seen on our DeLorean page ExoticDMC. He is selling this for no other reason than for more funding for his custom DeLorean projects. If Eric and I could, we would buy it in a second!! Rich is asking $8,900 obo. Feel free to email with any questions you may have.
Medium blue exterior with tan interior, 5 speed and about 110K miles. This car is originally from Texas, with a little paperwork. Rich is the third owner. All major mechanical work done at Fabson AG, a Porsche specialty shop located in Cedarburg, WI, just north of Milwaukee. They also build Porsche race cars.
Transmission completely rebuilt and entire clutch assembly replaced Winter '99. Less than 10,000 miles on car since (trans, clutch, full tune-up, etc.) work was done. Top end of engine completely redone last winter, including reground cams and all new lifters ($900). Less than 6,000 miles on car since the top end was redone. New radiator installed ($1,000), new lower ball joints and recent front end alignment. New alternator, new starter, K&N filter (over $11,000 in receipts in past 4 years). Car has over $500 JVC AM/FM/CD stereo system with wireless remote system. Interior is OK, with some minor wear.
Has complete, late model 928 GTS treatment, with tail section, lights and wing. Has later model 16" flat dish S4 style wheels and all season performance tires. With a quick glance, it can easily pass for a 1988 $60,000 model 928 S4. Complete color change to '95 Corvette Grand Sport Blue less than 4 years ago. Paint job includes inside door sills and jambs, inside hood and hatch areas.

Car runs very strong and is very fast but still gets around 20 MPG. This is the 4.5 Liter, All Aluminum V8 engine. It has the Bosch L-Jetronic Fuel injection and a 9.0:1 compression ratio. It also has front and rear slotted disc brakes. Approximately 235 Horse Power and approximately 275 ft/lb of Torque.0-60 in 7 seconds and top speed over 145 MPH. Slight increase in performance over stock setup with a K&N Air Filter and an after-market exhaust.

Just for a little comparison, I found 2 928s in the last 2 Chicagoland AutoFocus. One is an AUTOMATIC 928 going for $9000 and the other is an '84, that doesn't look half as good, going for $11,000. And that's it, 'cause these Beauties are rare.

An optional set of
Porsche 993 Cup 2 wheels and tires can be added to the purchase for an additional $1,000 to give the car the full 928 GTS look.

Nice photo with one of Rich's DeLoreans.
I love this photo!! The only photo Rich has of all three of his 928 Porsches together, the day he traded the white one for a DeLorean. He then traded the black 928 for an '82 DeLorean a few months later, about a week before the Cleveland 2000 show. Pictures from that show on our DeLorean page, ExoticDMC.
