This is the new car I recently bought a 2001 Honda Torneo Euro R. The pulsar was proving a handful to drive with the cold idle removed and the brass button clutch. I needed something presentable and something that could remain pretty stock standard but I wanted something larger so you could take other people comfortably. After looking at evo's and wrx's and considering fuel cost, insurance, maintenance and possible repairs the Euro R came out on top.
It has ample power more than the 2000 era wrx and is lighter. Front wheel drive and a naturally aspirated four pot. I installed my stereo and subs, and my Greddy air filter on a simota arm then installed a duct from under the front bumper up to the filter to keep things cool. The car really barks onto vtec now.
It really is an amazing car for the money having only travelled 77,000 kays. Momo steering wheel, type r titanium, gear knob and recaro interior with the H22a hand finished motor throwing out 220 hp at 7,200 and pulling hard to rev limit at 7,800. Pictures below.
