Hey, my names mitch. This is my 2003 BA XR6 turbo. Its phantom. Its 5 speed manual. It loves to drink heaps of fuel. I brought it about 6 months ago stock as a rock. first thing i did to it was take off the badges and spoiler. Lower it on king springs, throw on the 19" eleanors and put the pod filter on to get the turbo flutter cranking. I shortly after ordered the custom plates MR PSI. risky thing to do considering it was stock standard. Threw in a boost guage for a bit of wank wank too lol Here are some of the first pics i have of it.

Installed 5000k Xenon ultra brights
Love those wheels

Next thing to come was a change for the interior. So i opted for something a little different. I wanted leather but i went for BF fairmont ghia interior. Its slightly more comfortable with adjustable lumbar and electric seat adjustment for driver and passenger.

Stopping power would soon become a problem so i spoke to lloyd at sirius track and road technology or S.T.A.R.T about an upgrade. DBA slotted rotors for the front and DBA solids on the rear would suffive with lukey performance pads all round.

I was gettin a bit tired with the look of the eleanors since i seen them on about 20 different commodores so i gave them to my girlfriend and got some 20" enkei's. When i brought them they had no tread on 2 so i rolled on stockies for a fair while attracting alot of un wanted cop attention. Looked killa tho

I spent abit of money doing the sound system in the beast as the speakers werent really doing it for me. I went down to tonkins car audio in salisbury and spoke to Dave who looked after me very well. We started by installing the 7" TFT color screen as it didnt have premium sound when i got it. We replaced the factory speakers with focal 5x7 in the rear and focal 6 1/4" splits up front. To get some nice bass we put in 2 12" alpine type s subz in a custom box with a beauty board for a great look. Not being happy with the lack of control over the sound, i forked out for the alpine vehicle hub pro. Very expensive but very worth it. Gives you complete control over every aspect of the sound system. Allows DVD players and televisions and gaming consoles to be hooked up. Has the abilty to read playlist on iPods and store them on an external hardrive.

i got a bit bored with the power, or lack of, so i went down to boostin oz on stanbel road, salsibury plain and spoke to the owner, Dennis. He pointed me in the right direction starting with the purchase of a rapid systems V2.0 intercooler kit and polished piping. We then moved on to a set of Nizpro valve springs and drilling the standard injectors. we were concerned about the clutch not being able to handle the power so we installed an extreme ceramic twin plate with lightened flywheel. Also, concern was had for the lack of fuel being sent to the motor by the standard pump so i went for a bosch 044 external pump with custom surge tank which delivers a large amount of fuel very noisily.
Once all the parts arrived, dennis took the carr of my hands and handed me back a beast. It was flash tuned wit dennis custom tuning the car himself. Manage to pull 303.1KW in the end. It could pull more but its tuned a bit conservativly so she doesnt throw a rod out the side of the block. that could be pretty costly.

My exhaust let me down heaps as it is stock, very restrictive so a 3.5" mandrel bent system from the turbo back with no cat and no middle muffler will be installed along with a 14psi actuator for the turbo to hold boost better.
The car is currently running 16 psi to make 300 constantly but with then new system it can run 14 psi safely to get the same power. No chance of throwin a rod at all hopefully. a 6 spped manual and typhoon engine bttom end will be on the cards shortly too.
