Super clean, almost stock, tiny turbo

139K miles when purchased, 5-speed, t-tops, all power options, headlight washer, manual heater controls
(finally a 280ZX with a heater that works)

Sold the original seats and bought some 350Z seats

This Z will get a G-nose, 280ZXR spoiler, projector headlights, 1.5" drop, window tint, new seats, steering wheel, funky gauges, new carpet, and some other junk. After all that is done I might modify the engine.

::: Recent Progress :::

June 2009

Painted and installed Artitaspeed G-nose front end on the car. BOV and 350Z seats also put in. The car is still on cut springs but the Tokicos did arrive finally so they will be installed soon.

May 2009

Installed MSA sway bars, new end links, and Techno Toy Tuning adjustable tension rods. The factory springs were cut to lower the car temporarily. Tokico struts and springs arrived but not installed yet.

The Artia Speed g-nose style front air dam has arrived in the mail

April 2009

I moved the Z to my new garage. I have a lot more room now and hope to have the 350Z seats and some lowering springs installed soon.

Jan 2009

Installed the new steering wheel. It feels great and the car somehow feels like it handles a little better. However, a 350mm steering wheel blocks too much of the gauge cluster for my taste. I re-sold the steering wheel and plan to search for a larger one.

Nov 2008

Steering wheel and BOV are here. Nothing installed yet.

Oct 2008

Adjustable tension control rods have arrived along with the roll center adjusters.

The short shifter and Mustang knob arrived. I installed it and drove the car. The throw is very short now and I love the feel of the new leather shift knob. You can see the overall height comparison to the factory shifter in the picture. This is a generic brand assembly available on eBay for about $65

::: Already owned or purchased these prior to Sept 2008 :::

280ZXR spoiler - not aftermarket, I found a real ZXR being parted out. This picture is my spoiler.

I own a 1988 300ZX turbo ECU, CAS, and MAS for the fuel system swap.

::: Here are some items on my shopping list for this car :::

Manual boost controller, intercooler and intake pipes...

Possibly some Wilwood 12.2" brakes and a non-turbo block with flat top pistons for higher compression

Looks good man, i'm thinking about getting the T3 tension rods myself. By the looks of it you need some new balljoints, bad! lol.

I had Vildini Motorsports make the downpipe since I can't weld in my area. They are one of the best shops I've ever dealt with, and their customer service is awesome. I don't know if they are in business still though as it looks like their website is down.
