This is my 98 Grand am that I salvaged out of the junk yard..  Yes I said junk yard..

I saw her sitting back there and fell in love with her..Luckly she was only there for a couple of hours and nothing was stripped off of her..But her motor was shot..

I worked on her for about 2 years on and off trying to do a 3.1 conversion and wasted to much time and got disgusted. So I was going to just sell her off. Sold the motor and gave the trans away..

Then I came across a 2.4 and decided to go back factory with her..So here she is.

not bad, whats makes the 2.4L better is the secret cam swap and a 5 speed. lol. trust me 5 speed is so much better. my car will hold a burn out to 3 gear ~3800 RPMs, and will chirp tires through every shift. also, cold air intake and exhaust so worth it. major power boost and fuel economy boost. my car gets 26-28 mpg in town shifting at 4000 to 4500 rpms. lol. if you have any questions about these cars let me know, ive rebuilt and fixed everything on the car. from hub-assemblies to the replacement of the motor and tranny. and did it all with my own two hads. this motor is a hell of a motor. dont let anyone tell you different.

wow man, i can't believe you found that in a junk yard. that's probably one of the cleanest 2.4s i've seen on here. great job and keep up the mods!
