Meet my friend and yours, STINKY PINKY.
A little background information - I'm 17 and didn't have too much money. Me and my dad had been looking everywhere for a car (at that point I had about 1500 saved up.) He called me out and said lets go look at a car (found on craigslist) and I reluctantly said yes. I had wanted a more sporty car and a taurus for 900..come on - something had to have been severely wrong. Went down and checked out the car and it really didn't seem too bad. Nice interior, pretty decent outside aside from a few minor scratches. Only problems she said she had problems with was the breaks. Turned out my rocker panels had been rotted - took it to a mechanic and they said I was lucky that the doors opened and closed. BE CAREFUL when buying NY cars. Went to get a quote one place said $2,200 so I thought I was done for. Luckily the mechanic knew a body shop which ended up doing the repair for 600. Aside from that me and my dad replaced the breaks and it passed inspection.
And now to what I have done and what I plan to do. (Ill try to list the cost and the steps involved.)
