My latest purchase. 1977 corona mark 2. Ive known about this for a while via jap nostalgic car and am yet to see one on NZ roads. Only other coupe Iv seen didnt have the IRS rear which is what I really wanted. I got this with out the front end on so put it all back together and will be stored till I sell my A31 cefiro which will fund a engine transplant and some body work. Il keep my wheels and colour choice will be flat black till I finsh at uni.
My 79 RX30 cressida or MX32 else where, Brought a few years ago @ 86kms, gets used nearly every day and would have to be the best and most reliable car Ive owned. Springs are commpressed 120mm all round with new bushes and adjustable panard rod in the rear. Wheels are SSR 15x8 fronts 15x9s on the rear. Tyres 185/45 front 195/50 rear. Engine is the standard 18r SOHC with manual gear box.
Il add some more pics soon.
The paint is a little faded but Id rather spend money making it faster and handle better for now
No rubb on the back with new panard rod
I have taken the tow bar off and the the trim over the back wheel arch because the gaurds had to be rolled so the wheels wouldnt rub.
Found this over the weekend coming back from a trip up north, Badged as a corona mark 2 with solid rear, black interior and big bumpers. Was told there is another one but so hard to find when theres 100s of cars scattered over the fields. I will be back.
