Thanks for Checking out my page, And yes if you still don't believe that this is a car of the 80's please believe that it is. I bought it for my birthday some years ago when it was still bone stock but luckily the seller already have the windows tinted to my liking at a legal point. But I did already have rims and tires for it with amg 18's and Falken 225/30 and 40 series tires. Since then as you can see I've done alot of exterior modifications to it. First mod I did was suspension, and it was a trial and error kind of affair. I first lowered it like a whole 2.5 inches all around (maybe more since I spared the spring pads) and it looked nice and I was like the only guy around with a lowered benz. I have a picture below of the benz when it was still dropped like that, (I did have to flare our the fenders) so your wondering why it's not dropped like that anymore....well dips, going up driveways and driving at fast speeds weren't so pleasent. After just a few weeks I had to have my exhaust redone cause at high speeds the car would aerodynamicly lower itself and the exhaust pipe would start scraping. Besides that the ride comfort was alot rougher, too bouncy, and no shop in town could align it correctly without me throwing out big $$$'s. Spring pads were reinstalled but that only assisted the alignment. Missing the mercedes smooth ride I went back to the past with stock springs eventually. For those I ditched the spring pads once again. My next mod was clear corners which helped the look of my car very much it's obvious to see. From here I was tired of that old Bekker radio that it had in it and the speakers were going out, so with due time and careful shopping I found an new Alpine mp3/cd/auxillary input deck, a very nice set of focal 2 ways for the fronts, mb quart components for the rear with the tweeters more in the front, an Eclipse 10" top of the line aluminum sub at 1000w max, an eclipse amp for the door speakers and a phoenix gold 500rms class d amp for the sub. The process was starting to irritate me due to the fact that I had to rewire the whole sound system from deck wires to speaker wires to amp wires but after so many days of doing this and that it was done and the clarity is amazing, but the bass wasn't enough for me to cool with so I had an idea of porting a hole on each side or the shelf where the rear headrest rest and let me tell you it made a difference cause the clarity and bass was superb then, doesn't sound like a 10" sub anymore. Eventually getting to my next mod I tryed the rear spoiler option, I couldn't find any direct order for my coupe and unlike many others I'm not fond of the AMG Ducktail at all. So I tryed the lip spoiler you see plenty of on ebay, but then one day searching this and that on ebay I found it!!! A Carat Duchatelet Truck Spoiler (if I spelled that right)for the CE and immediately choose buy it now, what a price to pay cause I had to get it shipped all the way from Germany but I love it, so the lip spoiler was ditched and the Carat spoiler was on. Then I acquired a huge AMG chrome exhaust tip at a great price to I had it welded over the top of my existing two tailpipes, looks good though cause everybody started to think my car is rear AMG. Later I came across and finally got the easy mods done like updated tail lights, updated panel where the rear license plate goes, and replace the front grille to show off more teeth. Later on here in dnever we suffered a horrible winter and my explorer wasn't drivable at the time so I had the drive the benz, and bad luck comes in many varieties as my front bumper couldn't take the abuse so it started breaking into pieces. So for a while I was looking everywhere for a front bumper for my car and eventually I found a front clip for the car on a benz forum so you already I had to get it. It needed some work and all so I had to refiberglass it, and later down the line I found some nice Piaa foglights. And the front plate, I ordered that from a guy on ebay and love it! And well wallah!!! Now to say some more to this Somebody recently did a hit and run on my rear bumper so like before I did some searching and have an AMG rear bumper (authentic too) on it's way and it's gonna need some work but I am a patient guy usually so why not. Now I am currently looking for side skirts but so hard to find for the 2 door as I might be forced to get them from an aftermarket company new, but hey whay else can I do? I also have people coming up to me every now and them talking about painting the whole car black and I truthfully say I like the two tone better. I'm not trying to make my car look newer just nicer, I like the headlight wipers look gives it uniqueness which is why you won't see me updating the headlights or hood. The foglights make up for the dullness of the headlights. I did go through alot of different tire sizes to see what will sit best and ride at a comfort level still. I went from 225/25r18 to 235/45r18 and I recommend satying with 225/40r18 for best overall performance. More pictures of mods and the interior will be posted in the future.
Here is a pisture of my rear AMG bumper being prepped and currently in the process. I'm doing all of this myself too, it started off a charcoal grey color.

Look at what happened to my subwoofer from playing it too hard:

Well Thats all I had to share for now, but here are some extra photos I have of my car of the past that I did talk about.
