FORD 9"

The installation of the Ford 9" was a journey never to be forgotton.

All this started on a whim on a cold winter day down at my friends garage. Looking at the rusted beaten bronco i decided that it would be cool to swap the Rear 9" axle and the Soild D44 Front axle on to my 93 F150.

the completed 9" ready to be installed. You can see in the background the puney jackstands, at full extent they couldn't even dream of touching my frame rail, the first obstacle of the day. One that was rectified once i got in touch with a friend who had a pair of 12 ton jackstands.

The axle intalled.

Dude nice swap check out mine. The reason your tires is to close to the front of the fender Is bacause the shackle kit moves if 1 to 1.5 inches forward and the block kit does the same. The block has a angle cut at the bottom which moves the axle closer. If you cut the block striaght it should take care of your problem. I don`t think sky manufacturing intended for them to be used with a block kit. Other wise nice truck. I wish I could put a 9 inch in my truck but I have the fricken Speedometer cable to the 8.8 which they started in 94 my only other option for a stronger axle is a sterling but there 8 lugs.

love the truck dude! i got a 1995 F150, its 2wd now 6" superlift up front and a shackle flip in the rear with 4.56s and a locker in the rear, currently working on a D44 swap and then a 4wd swap.

how hard was it to do that ZF swap?? i got the POS M5OD-r1 and would love to do a ZF swap when i go 4wd
