This is Dad's Hot Rod Magazine/ Berger Chevrolet Camaro and is is 1 of 35 made, car number is year 1977.

With HOTROD Magazine and GMMG, Berger Chevrolet produced one car to represent each year of Camaro production from 1967 - 2002. Thus the first car was labeled #1967, the second was #1968 and so on. Dad's is the tenth car in the series so it is recorded as car #1977.

Dad thought that the stock Z28 hood and spoiler (see bottom of page) looked a little too plain for a car with so much attitude that he added a Sunoco/Dick Harrell Hood and GM SS spoiler just before the 2005 HotRod Power Tour.

Looks MEAN now doesn't it? ................................................................. with new Polished Billet Grille

Dad has a heavy right foot! :-)

Red Powdercoated Calipers and dimpled rotors. Suspension lowered with Eibach springs .....................
Custom Silver Faced Gauges

Fender and rear GMMG badging

Car is numbered on the dash emblem, rear view mirror, and the lower corner of the windshield.

Embroidered Floor Mats

Dad opted for the Phase IIx High Torque package with 475+hp and 450ft lbs. of torque. He is running ported and milled 5.3L heads with 2.025 valves to raise the compression ratio to 11.5:1, TTS long tube headers, High Flow Cats, GMMG Exhaust, Underdrive pulleys, Ported TB, Larger MAF, Chrome Moly pushrods, Crane Dual Valve springs, CF air lid, Cam-Motion 228,232 deg .593"/.600" Lift cam on 112 deg CL, 3.73 gears, Hotchkis LCAs & STB, B&M cooler, and a Yank SS3600 torque converter.

With only 2000 miles on the motor it put down 410hp at the rear wheels with the torque converter UNLOCKED. Not bad for a 3.73 geared 4L60E automatic car.

The ported heads are stamped with the car number (HR 1977)
the date the engine was built at GMMG by Mike Carnahan (MC),
and the Phase IIx (P2X) designation.

Ira Gabriel (publisher) and Doug Evans (VP Group Publisher) of HotRod Signing the hood on the HotRod Power Tour. David Freiburger (Editor-in-chief) also stopped by to sign the car (not pictured).
