Welcome to pics of my Custom SS Camaro project. I wanted to create a "clean" looking show/street machine that would turn heads while still looking like it could have been a factory ordered package. So far the project is progressing nicely but as you all know it is never done......Right? ;-)
I'm proud to say I have performed all the work myself and the car has been featured in the LS1Tech.com Calendar for 2005 and has won 1st place honors at the '04 Grand Rapids Autorama Show, '04 Camaro Superfest for the '98-'02 Modified Class and voted Favorite 4th Gen,'04 UAW/GM/Delphi Berlin Raceway Show,'03 Berger Chevy Show voted favorite Camaro along with a few other awards.
The car is not just a show car as I have traveled on the entire route of the HOTROD Power Tour in 2003 and 2004 w/o a single problem enjoying the countyside and meeting many hotrodders along the way.
Since I often receive questions about the wheels they are iForged custom 3pc wheels. (www.iforged.com) They are 18 x 9.5" in the front and 18 x 10.5" in the rear with 275/35/18 front and 295/35/18 rear tires.
The custom offsets were build to my specifications to achieve a deep dish look with 2.5" wheel lips in the front and 3.5" lips in the rear. They are forged aluminum and very light for their size at 19 and 20 lbs.
The car has been dropped with DMS progressive rate springs and I have Koni Dual Adjustable shocks on all 4 corners to make it handle like a go-kart but still have a nice ride.
Enjoy the pics.... :-)

Close-ups of the iForged wheels........... The inside barrels did not come polished from the factory as seen in the brake caliper picture, so I got busy sanding and polishing the inner barrels of the wheels to look as nice as the outside does.
