I have been looking for about a year for a 1968 shortbox fleetside, and finaly found one!!! I bought it for $1500 back in august of 2008, it was a steal!!
This is my 1968 chevy c10, as you can see it is a shortbox fleetside. it was in excellent shape, the only bad rust on the whole truck is on the tips of the fenders, other than that, it is rust free. it is an origional red 327 auto 2wd 12 bolt truck. It still has the origional 12 bolt with 3.73 rear gears in it, and still has the origional tranny, but the origional motor has been taken out and replaced with a very rare code ML 350 horsepoer 327cid engine from a 1967 L79 nova. the origional interior is still very excellent, the only flaw in the interior is a small rip in the seat that is barely noticable.
when you get a chance check out my black 1971 chevy nova and check out my dads cars
ILL ADD MORE PICTURES WHEN I GET A CHANCE, AND AFTER I PAINT IT, IM KEEPING IT THE ORIGIONAL RED.
WELL ITS FINALLY PAINTED ! as of saturday Nov 29 2008.
Once I finally got around to it, it only took about a week and a half to do all the work. I completely stripped the entire truck to bare metal, fixed the rust on the tips of the fenders, and then she was ready to spray! So I painted her on sat. nov. 29, then spent all day sunday putting the chrome back on.
