Front view with the air dam that is on another car now.  Just didn't like the look of it and tried several times to match the color but couldn't get it exact.  Went back to original look.

Stock engine with SU's in place.  Put a Weber side draft on it but while it really opened it up on the top end, the bottom end suffered for around town driving.  Right now it has the down draft weber on it.  The stupid alcohol in the gas is a pain in my butt as it degrades the rubber in the carbs.  Are there any politicians that have any common sense?  When was the last time you saw a politician at a car event?  Do car freaks and common sense go together?  Interesting question.   Common sense question: what ingredients in the terrrible for mankind Freon 12 float into the upper atmosphere and destroy the ozone layer?  Don't take my word for it.  Look up the periodic table and find out for yourself.  If the answer to that doesn't make you think, nothing will.   If you don't know what the periodic table is, educate yourself on it.   If you are too lazy to educate yourself then just blindly go forward ( or should I say backwards ).

Stock interior with slight wood trim. Blocked off cowl with SS plate and used space behind outlets for new wiring center.

This is the most rust free MG I've ever seen.  The title showed the car with low 30,000 miles in the early 80's and from the condition I received it ( in boxes ) it must have been disassembled and painted  about that time.  The car was completely painted and the engine /transmission had been put in place by an interim owner and was close to running.   This owner had also rebuilt the front end.  He was running out of paid storage space and just wanted to get rid of it.   I kept looking at it and really couldn't believe the conditon of it as MG's are never rust free.  It seemed most of the parts were there so I bought it.  The original plan was to V8 it but I couldn't stand the thought of cutting it up.   The speedometer shows 37,000 miles on it and I've not seen anything that would make me doubt this.

That MG is one of the nicest looking models they ever made. Glad to know you decided to keep it as original and stock as it is. Because you are very lucky to find that one in such state and condition. Great decision to remove that air dam. 5 big stars for you on that ride! Cheers!!!
