furious280zx's 1980 Datsun 280ZX

update aug 17 03
the car is now sold and out of my hands it was sold to www.digibees.com to be wrapped in a vinyl graphic for their adertisement. this white 83' 280zx is my new one. it has t-tops an digital dash and full illegal limo tint all around this pic was taken the day it got tinted. the only thing i dont like about this car is that its an automatic! i just put in a full carpet and seat upholsterey kit in. i will have pix as soon as the digital camera is unpacked.

i leave these pics as memory of my old 280zx

Since i first bought the car i wanted to restore it and turn it in to a total street machine. system , performance mods , and the looks (believe it or not they sell many body kits for this car) and a high intergrated spoiler + Rims

So far i have :
Made a custom 3" cold air intake out of a bomz intake meant for an integra gsr.

just recentely had an A'pexi muffler installed with a custom 2.5" catback system.

I also replaced all of the fuel lines w / steel braided ones i fabricated myself!(steel braided line is expensive $2.00 a foot!)

I Also replaced most of the rubber tubing with Arospeed colored tubing.

I also installed a car alarm ,(trust me where i live even a ghetto car needs one) and will adding power locks soon. As well as a power trunk release.
*sound system*
pioneer deck
pyramid amp
soundstorm amp
fosgate subs
pioneer sealed 6x9's
the system is rolling on ghetto componets right now , but thats gonna change real quik!!

I like the felt idea, looks like it work out awsome.Check out my fiberglass dash project.I used expanding foam to get my depth and height, then cut it with a hacksaw blade(blade only)to level it out.The resin WILL NOT eat the expanding foam like the other foam. After i sand the fiberglass smooth i'll put a thin layer of bondo over it to fill any imperfections.Tell me what you think.

dang dude good job on the dash. I noticed that you ended up painting your headlight switches, Those were a bitch to get out for me too. Nothing a pair of tin snips couldnt take care of. I was inspired by your fiberglass dash so now im trying it. All in all nice looking Z. If you do get the outside repainted id reccomend black, thatd look sexy with the yellow contrast. My 280ZX page is currently hidden and is waiting for some more pictures. good job again
