Nice car....I also have a 99 Tercel. It is completely stock, except for my stereo. It has 130K, the engine is like new, the body rust free which proves the quality of steel Toyota used 10 years ago was so much better than other manufactures here in North America....I live in London, Ontario - CANADA, where they use unlimited amounts of salt on the icy roads during the winter months. I never believed in the many rust protection scams going around when you purchase a new car. If the car needs paint after 10-15 years, this would be cheaper than paying for what these companies charge every year to keep your warranty active. There are some really nice Toyota's here - I plan on driving my car for as long as I can, but I would like a little more than what the 90 horsepower, 1.5 liter engine puts out....maybe some input from the other people who have the same car, or the same basic engine would help me? I think Toyota used the same engine from 1996 to the last year of the Tercel, 1999? My car has a 4 speed automatic, with air conditioning, so it does need a boost in power, maybe someone can advise me on getting some reliable HP - not too much where it would require other modifications, or do damage to the Auto transmission - I would like to have the power of a new Honda Civic my friend just bought....it is a new 4 cylinder model made in Alliston, Ontario. Nice car, - it is black with black tinted windows and a automatic transmission - great suspension too. I would like to have a stiffer suspension ride like her Honda. I was hoping someone would also recommend a good gas shock which could give the car a better ride. My car is smaller and weighs less, so maybe 25 or 30 HP would be good enough without having to do too much to the engine....any ideas would be much appreciated - Michael
