Need some parts. There's more to this one than meets the eye. Header, exhaust, AG Kit lowering springs etc..... Just kidding. I will use this one for parts when something needs replacing on the new Cavalier. Yes, I have one now. I exchanged the drilled rotors and new calipers, hubs, tie rod ends and rods. Many of the part on the 2.4L will find it's way on the new one.
The Cav is no more. Accident and now it's a parts car. I am going for a 1998 "Z" Cav. It isn't bought yet, but I am working on it. Hopefully, the project can continue to live in the next one.
Hello, I own a 98 Cav 4 door. 2.4L LD9, Automatic gearbox. Picked up used. The car had a very bad front end. It was cheap enough. I didn't plan on taking the car in the direction it is going. Nevertherless, it's a constant work in progress.
This Cavalier is constantly under construction. The goal of this project is to get a daily driver, that has decent looks, and sound good and low. Not a racing project.
Ok, let's give a brief history. Car acquired March 07. 220,000 miles. Completely bad front end from bearings to strut mounts. Engine installed in 2006. The original engine went on the previous owner. Low miles replacement installed from a reputable yard. 7000 miles on installed motor. So far a Cold Air Intake and 4-1 headers through a Cherry Bomb into a 3A Racing can. All this through 2" pipes. Platinum Spark plugs

At least sanding next year will be that much closer to paint.
This is one coat of Gray Primer.
Block sanding will be the done.
This door require some filler.
I like the way the spoiler turned out.
There are some minor repairs needed to some part. Bearing and maybe one of the joints. Otherwise, I am very pleased with the results.
I replaced the rear shocks with Tokico HP Blue. They are working in this application very fine. Heavy loads require care when driving, nevertheless, it will support a heavy load and still go. That's satisfaction for me.
The winter will allow me to work on some details. Interior. I am leaving it as stock as I can. There will be some lighting additions, new carpet, and cleaning and covering the seats in some fashion. Oh, and some painting.
Things on the want list:
New Carpet. Seat Covers of some kind. Interior detailing. Tint. Rims and lower profile tires.
Couple of updates. Xenon HID bulbs put in. 1 farad Performance Technique Capacitor. Copper Berylium boot springs to be installed. Rear shocks replaced with Tokico HP Blue.
Working on an improved exhaust. That will take on a life of its own. But not a difficult endeavor.
