Mustang Venom Gt Convert Sold $29,500.00 May 28th 2010.
Mom sold her Mustang as she never took it out, except to car shows. Ended up with 1426km on it when she sold it. Actually she sold it 7 times, first 6 times the people couldn't get the money from the banks. The new owners will be adding new mods, so I'm sure it will turn up on Cardomain again.
We originally bought this ride in January 2008 and didn't get it finished customizing until Sept 2008. We basically striped this brand new ride of all it's external bolt on parts. Bumpers, hood, trunk, door handles & mldings, mirrors to get it ready for painting as every panel was getting a painted stripe. The making of the all the custom parts took about 2 weeks of working time, over several months. The labour to install all the parts once made took a little over 100 hours of working time, but again over several more months. The paint time, not counting all of the removal and re-installing the parts took 45hours to complete. My dad & I did all the work, including the painting in our garage at home. There is no dust in the paint. Details of painting you will see below with photos and I hope you enjoy viewing this ride. Please log on and rate this ride.
Mustang Venom convert was my mom's ride

Cervinis front bumper with custom made lower grill made to fit the front license plate. I made it to match the upper GT grille.

It has a custom made hood scoop that I designed and built. There are inside tunnels for the air to flow through, but you can't see through it.

The paint turned out like a mirror & straight. We built our own dust free spray booth. Air tight except for all the filters we installed. We had 2 large filtered fans sucking the air through, worked great. We painted on a raining day, that way mom couldn't smell any fumes :) hehe

Custom made side quarter panel scoops with grilles, that I also built, from molds we made. We sold the factory wheels and bought these 20 X 8.5 front and 20X10 Chrome Rear wheels.....

Every panel is straight & flawless and looks like a mirror.

Custom Venom 3rd brake light & even the rear of spoilers are all molded in & fitted to perfection.

Updated the Venom theme with a little airbrush work by Jim Hall. Jim has airbrushed 3 different emblems one for my silver coupe, my dad's blue convert, & this one, my mom's ride.

Custom made rear deck trunk spoiler that I designed and built. I made fibreglass mold's to make all of the parts, with my dad' help. For those who don't know what the black hump is, it's the factory satellite receiver.

Molded on quarter panel spoilers to match the Trunk Spoiler. Check out the shine & no lines

The stripes were painted on with a 3/4" center and then 1/4" on both sides of the 10" stripe. The car was cleared and then re-sanded and cleared again so there are no edges at all on the stripes. Once that was completed the complete car was wet sanded with 2000 grit wet, then 2500 grit wet and buff up starting with the heavy cut to remove the 2500 grit marks, then med to remove the heavy marks, then a lite polish to remove the med. Then the glaze finish before moving into the Chip Foose waxing. It's a lot of work to get the luxury finish but it's worth it.....as it is smooth & shinning as glass. But takes a lot of time.

We installed all the little details like washer nozzels and rear louvers and rear grille. There are also drainage holes in the louvers and under the scoop to drain the water away.

The side scoops are again molded in & you can see how straight & shinning they are. Plus the custom scoop grille

Udated the side scoops with new grilles, swaped out the black ones. Mom like the silver ones a lot better .

These are the custom made headrests.

We are trying to design some custom fenders, but it's tough to come up with something to fit the theme of a Mustang & still look good. We've made a couple different fenders but have scrape them & kept the factory fenders, so far.

Close up of the lower grille my dad & I made.

The Venom is also painted on then clear coated, sanded and clear coated a 2nd time for the smooth straight finish. No edges!

A look from the drivers seat, only 782 km's on it as of Sept 05, 2008, less then 500 miles. It's parked for winter now, with just over 1100 km's, but less then 700 miles.

Under the hood we added rad extension covers and a Chrome center rad cover. This is the 3rd Venom GT Mustang I have built with my dad.

Mom just went over 1,300 km's after this car show on Aug 16th 2009, where she won another award in the convertible class.
