Man it's been a while since I've updated this. A lot has gone on since May, and I have some good and bad news. The good news is I've had a hell of a lot of fun with her since I last posted. I haven't done anything much, worked on the brakes (which are worse than I previously thought, had to work on them over the summer and I found out the rears didn't work. We fixed it but they stopped working again), replaced my alternator, changed the water pump seal (It was shooting coolant into my alternator and it killed the new one), replace the alternator again, raised the rear air shocks, replaced the belt, replaced the fuel filter, replaced the air filter, replaced the u-joints on the driveshaft, installed a tach, and a bunch of other little things I can't really think of.

Now for the bad news, even after doing a good bit to her she was still not feeling too well and I was only getting 10mpg because of my crappy two barrel. I needed to get the driveshaft balanced, tires balanced, a new master cylinder, I had a really bad lifter tick that was getting worse, all the boots in the front suspension were going, the leaf springs were starting to go, and countless other little things that were just waiting to fail that I couldn't afford to replace. Because of these things, and the fact that my parents are currently paying for my gas and insurance, I decided it would be fair to the Barracuda and my parents to get another daily driver with the scholarship money I got. I ended up with a 1987 Volvo 740 wagon, which has done a pretty good job so far, but in hindsight I could have gotten one in better condition. I should be making a profile for it soon, but I'm pretty lazy so it might not be for a bit.

So to sum things up, the Barracuda is now sitting until I can get a job and save up to start restoring her. I know it sucks, just imagine how I feel, but I feel it was the right decision to make at this point in my life.

I know I've probably said this before but I have a full thread with just about everything I've ever done to the Barracuda and now the Volvo with full explanations and pictures right there. It's updated every time I do anything significant, and sometimes insignifant, to either of my vehicles.

I haven't updated this page in a while but I have some great news. First of all I was able to get a new windshield, and it is a 100% improvement in visibilty. I can't believe I was able to drive my car with the old windshield, it's almost like a completely different car how much of an improvement it is.

More great news is that I was able to get my license as well. My parents checked with their insurance and it wasn't too bad so I was able to pay for the first two months with my income tax check. Since then I've made another video which can be found here

I should be taking some more pictures sometime soon, but to be honest I've just been a bit lazy and have been enjoying driving it.

5 stars. Bcak in 1986, when I was 16, I had a chance to pick up a #4 66 Barrcuda (225 slant 6 with a three-in-the tree). Mind you this car was running, and parked in the deep woods of Sebago,Maine. I could of picked up this Mopar between $75-$100.
