Brief History

I've had this 7AFE since I was 17. I've managed to keep it running for about 3 years without blowing it up. When I bought it, I couldn't drive a stick, I didn't know anything about engines, and I didn't know what my tuning options were-- I was just happy to have a car. So obviously, I started out doing stupid stuff with my boy Peebles like dirt drifting, power braking, testing top speeds, wasting tires, jumping the clutch, ditch diving, accumulating traffic citations, and collecting hate from cops.

I've almost killed myself and totalled the car several times in the pursuit of action. I will leave it at that. I no longer drive wrecklessly in public because it generally isn't wise or courteous.

Present

All engine mods are bolt-ons and temporary. I'm going to continue with the power adders while I'm in college just to give me something to do. I currently have a custom turbo kit in the works, and I'm eventually going to spray it w/ some dry shot. That is the extent of the engine work that I plan to do on the 1.8.

Present mods are as follows:

Engine/Transmission

Intake: Weapon R short ram

Exhaust: 4-2-1 OBX headers, high flow catalytic converter, Borla ProXS muffler, all remaining exhaust work was increased to 2.25" diameter

Wiring: NGK iridium plugs, NGK wires

Clutch: Spec Stage 2 clutch kit (lightweight kevlar composit clutch disc + heavy duty, high clamp pressure plate)

Other: Throttle body bypass, polyeurethane motor and radiator mounts

Exterior

Wheels: Drifz 17 x 7 517GM (polished lip)

Tires: Fuzion Zri 205/40/17

Bodywork: Carbon Innovation Z3 style fiberglass fenders

Headlights: GT Racing smoked lenses (do not recommend: poor quality)

Interior

GReddy counterweighted shift knob, APC gauges, TRD floormats

Mandatory OEM Repairs

Alternator, battery, left front wheel bearing and hub assembly, brake shoes, front brake pads, clutch slave cylinder, plugs/wires, distributor cap, and I replaced my clutch three times.

OK OK I got some pics up today! And I also replaced the LED fog light rings with CCFLs. But yeah, good luck fixing the inside man... about tinting the lights, I'd just go to the store and pic up some window tint and stick in on the lights. I've never tinted anything, so I don't know what that would look like. Hopefully it can stand the heat. Or, you could get some head light tint on Ebay. Or, maybe you could spray tint the lights, but then it doesn't come off.

What is an OE kit? I got my red/clear tail lights but I haven't got pics yet, but it looks sweet.

Yeah, that does suck, did they steal anything? Or do you just have to replace the small window and put the dash back together. As for me, yeah I just got my new tail lights and put them on. They are the ones in my photoshops, the ones with red on top and chrome on the bottom. They look perfect, I think. So I'll be taking them apart and putting the LEDs in, but for now I'm just enjoying them the way they are on the car now.
