Check out my s13 and post some comments!
Welcome and thanks for visiting! Alas, my 1996 base model s14 240sx with an s14 sr20det has been SOLD! I wanted to build my interpretation of what a USDM Silvia would be like if it were ever offered. I pretty much met my goal with the car and decided to focus on my s13. Time to move on! I will REALLY miss my s14!

The Nissan 240sx has an FR (Front engine, Rear wheel drive) layout, multi link suspension, sexy looks, and the ultimate in balanced handling. I chose to swap in an S14 SR instead of boosting the KA but its all a matter of preference.

Motor Swap
When the sr20det came out in 1991 it was ahead of its time. Back then it had a direct ignition system when the majority of engines used distributors and spark plug wires. When the s14 came out in 1994 the sr20det was upgraded with a t28 ball bearing turbo and vtc variable valve timing. This technology is only just becoming the state of the art today and is only found on high end cars! My swap was done at Motorex. Klay (Now at Ks Factory) and wiring Guru Ken Flores did a great job! The wiring looks completely like factory wiring and the A/C blows freezing cold air. You get what you pay for.

Greddy RSPL front mount intercooler
The Greddy RSPL front mount intercooler is a tube and fin design good for over 400whp. This is a high end intercooler kit. Fitment was PERFECT, (The instructions were very helpful to the people at Signal Auto because they all speak and read Japanese) The quality of the piping is TOP NOTCH (Super bling bling polished) and it had everything required for a seamless installation (The instructions said exactly where to cut the hole in the battery tray, what to cut sheet metal wise to make the i/c fit, there were battery cable extensions for battery miniaturization and there was even a bracket to rotate the wiper/washer reservoir 90 degrees so that the piping can clear the battery tray.

The HKS SSQV factory replacement blow off valve replaces the stock s14 BOV. It bolted right up to the Greddy RSPL. If it sounded any better it would be a sin:

Aero
For aero I chose the Zenki NAVAN Aero kit because its made of polyurethane. Most people get the Version Select or Orgin aero kits. I wanted something a tad more subtle.

After adding the aero the car looked like a 4x4 so I dropped it 1":

Rims and tires
I bought all of my rims from DriftSpeed.com (Props to Brian) My current rims are Work Meister S1C 3 piece gangsta jewelry, size 18x9 +16 front and 18x10 +18 rear rolling on Yokohama AVS ES-100 tires, size 225/40-18 front and 245/40-18 rear:

Before I got the Works my car had Gram Lights 57Pros, size 17x8 +25 front and 18x9 +22 rear rolling on Yokohama AVS ES-100 tires, size 225/45-17 front and 235/40-18 rear. These used to be on the DriftSpeed.com Sileighty:

My car with the SE wheels:
After putting on the 18 Work wheels the car sat too high up front so I lowered the front by another inch. Sits REALLY nice now:
