87camaroproject's 1987 Chevrolet Camaro

My 1987 camaro project car. I bought this car in May 08 from its first owner of 21 years. The only rust was a couple spots of surface rust at the bottom of the doors which i fixed but no major rust holes. After the 21 years of not being drivin in the winter it only had 177 000kms on it.

Current engine

2.8 litre v6 fuel injected (5 speed tranny)

  Rebuilt engine ready to install

small block 5.7 litre carburated 350  w/ 4brl

Exhuast for new engine

looking for dual exhaust kit w/ headers (any recommendations of what and where to buy from?) Style of headers? (none expensive) Dual exhaust straight from headers all the way back? Or should i get a single 3'' pipe to the muffler then dual out the back.

QUESTIONS

Planning on doing the engine swap myself. any difficulties i should be aware of? motor mounts? wiring? timing belt installation? The engine is out of a 72 pickup.

hey hows it going man i did the v8 swap in my v6 camaro other then the exhaust all you really have to do is use v8 mounts because the holes are already drilled in the frame then you wil hav to run a fuel pressure regulator to cut back the fuel pressure

yeah is kinda impossible to put two mufflers in the back because of clearance. if you really want to mufler you can put two mufflers on the bottom of the car next to where the tranny is i seen a few people done that but of course is a little more expensive. what do you want to do with the car have a nice cruiser the 350 is very good lost of power and great driving. is it fuel injection or carburator. if it is fuel injected the tpi setups is the cheapest and great bang for the buck just get better intake runners since tpis tend to choke after 5000rpm with the stock runners. nice car thought im also bringing my back to life since it caught on fire not long ago next to my house
