Yea they have been known to cause some troubles but thats when you just put it on all out and drive like that all the time i know a guy who had his on extreme all the time which is the highest level on the bully dog and his truck ran just fine but i indeed think the same way you do and dont want to mess up such an expensive truck seeing as how a damn fuel pump is almost 300 haha but i run mine on the second to top level of bully dog which is performance and i have had no problems whatsoever and my truck is like night and day difference and the ability to run right up there and beat some z28's is not a bad thing either and i for a while was towing a 5th wheel around when i was working out of state and it pulls it with no problem i think it is worth it to get the programmer as long as you dont overdue it i have yet to put mine on extreme and dont know if i ever will but either way it is well worth the money but yea stay safe and have a good night peace.
