Went to the NMC car show last weekend in Traverse City.
Lots of trophies to be had, my nephew and friend Chuck
both won trophies in the truck class. Great show, 3rd year

Out of the paint booth, paid for the paint job, WAS NOT HAPPY, HAD TO HAVE SOME MINOR REWORK DONE AND WAS SCREWED AROUND. BIG ATTITUDE FROM THE BODY GUY, HE PICKED IT APART AND ADDED 40 HOURS OF WORK, I WAS OK WITH THAT, I FIGURED THAT WAS WHAT I PAID FOR. HE THEN SAID THE FLAWS FOUND AFTER THE PAINT WAS DONE WERE THERE BEFORE, DUH! WHAT A DICK!, GLAD I WILL NEVER SEND ANYTHING THERE AGIAN. Total time on restore was about 6 years, did about 90% of the work myself, had Baker Engineering do the engine block machine work, balancing, and assembly, heads done by a local machine shop, (we wont go there), Overall turned out nice, runs good. Would like to upgrade the engine some-new aluminum heads and new gear for the rear end(Richmond gears-noisy)
