*Firstly, let me say that the bragging rights on the left are all estimated results given by various online racing calculators fed the same info based on this engine being blown at 8-10psi for everyday street use*

Chrysler 318 built to stage 5 chrysler Corp "MAX POWER" specs

Proven & Good for mid to low 12 second 1/4 mile's in 3000lb vehicle, with single carb!

(it aint much to brag about these days but, you know, its still impressive for the street)

diff is a 9" with powertrax "lockright" diff locker & 4.11's

trans is tricked chrysler 727 T/F  stalled at 2500 for REGULAR street use.

body on ready for steering, exhuast, painting, glass install, interior, wiring then cruising,

the tail lights are factory repro's and the indicators are Harley Davidson "bullet" style, so they are nice and discreet.

The straps you see comming out of the window are for lifting the body with block and tackle

The front tyres will be "pizza cutters" instead of these stockies, we currently have on the rear, steel "smoothies" but am looking at a set of "convo pro's"

the sizes will be 15x4 for the front and 15x10 for the rear

It's great when your kid's show an interest at such a young age (2.5)

this is my daughter, she loves "daddy's car car"

we also have recently welcomed our son to the family (12 weeks ago) go to make sure he has a healthy interest in bloke stuff.

Below is the diff build up..

cut, shortened and modified ford 9" housing

"WAR" casing thanks to Ebay and "esnipe"

& $15.00 for a new pilot bearing retainer clip! if I knew that it would be $15.00 I would not have mangled this one.

Housing all bogged up and painted (I smoothed the seems and ring gear hump by using body filler)

The reasembled hat and pinion and the final assembly and checking of the RICHMOND GEAR 4.11'S

All DONE AND BACK ON THE CHASSIS.

And I only lost about half a kilo of skin off my knuckles instead of my usual kilo or more every time I work on any car

They may not look like much, but my father & I scored two complete Chrysler 383 big block's to rebuild for $600

the one on the engine stand is an all original 1971 item, never been pulled appart, still had the oringinal MoPar logo stamped head gasket's,

the one on the floor is a '68 cast, .040 over,

both look good enough to rebuild but only a chemical clean and sonic test will tell for sure.

I will be sure to upload pictures of the build up(s)

my father & I are VERY interested in the 383-496 stroker kits available, will see what happens.
