Oh no problem, better ask now before you decide to buy one right? But ya, the Whisper Lid removes the stock baffles which slow the air down, the stock silencer which make your intake quiet and slow the air down even more, is taller, smoother, and the air outlet is much much bigger than stock. and the air goes directly from the lid to your throttle body so it adds alot. The SLP intake acts as a ram air in a way and also pulls in cooler air from outside the engine bay rather than inside. The two inlet holes in the front don't let much air in. All is very easy to put in. 10 mins for the Whisper lid and about 30 for the SLP intake.

It was only worth it if you buy the Whisper lid and a K&N filter at the same time. It makes a big difference with all installed at once.

You can get the SLP cold air intake from www.marylandspeed.com which I bought mine from. They sell it for $10 cheaper than SLP's price on their own site, and shipping was only $4.95 rather than $20. Shipped very fast too.

Like GTwildfire posted you should start with an exhaust and intake. I have a flowmaster 80 series exhaust with dual outlets. Then I went with the SLP cold air intake and the whisper lid which only fits our v6's cause the slp doesn't. its not worth the intake unless you do the lid. I am yet to do a chip but the chips are about $300. like $280 and the chip alone adds 25 hp.
