'88 Honda Prelude 2.0si

135 hp stock

5 speed

Well this is my new page for my baby. I've had him since Feb. '04.

Go ahead~ laugh it up! My poor car looks like hell~ I realize that! But hey, I'm a single mother with 2 "projects" and bills... I'm not rich! I'm doing what I can, and I'm not doing it to please anybody but myself, so if you don't like my cars, move on.

10 days after I got him, my breaks failed and I rearended a '95 Dodge Neon. Ever since then its been one hell of a ride!

I finally got the new front end on and got it back on the road in late '04/early '05 and got it back on the road.

I knew it was going to need one, so I figured I'll just put a new clutch. Well while the poor thing was at the garage, somebody broke into it and stole my system, air intake, and I think one other thing(i forget...). They also jammed my hood, and truck, and also kicked my drivers seat, and steering wheel or something where they bent it. So I needed to replace the steering column. Also, they (from what it looked like) tried to steal it, and it seems they got scared off or something because 1/2 of my ignition was out. All they had to do was take 1 more screw off and start it with a screwdriver. So I ended up taking it home for MORE repair!

Finally got it done and went to drive it. Well after a week, my timing belt snapped. Needless to say~ I needed a new motor. So off to my dads old coworkers house he went. Finally got that done and drove it for another 2 weeks or so, and found my integra. The night I got it, Prely decided he wanted to stop running again! That was in June '06.

He just ran for the first time again on August 17th(i believe) '08. Now he will be my daily driver... in a few days anyway! I need to take the wing off(omfg what was I thinking!? lol), and I'm going to do the hood baby blue, like the headlights.

Na, the wing was actually a joke! In Allentown, there is a bunch of Hondas/Acuras that are all "wannabe" and "ghetto" looking that are HORRIBLE! And they all have these goofy stupid looking wings on them(like the one on Prely). Well when I put the new front end on it, it almost blended in. Just the way the paint and everything is. I was like "NO! I'm missing one of those aluminum wings!"... so thats how it got started and vuala! Prely had one of the stupid looking wings!

How I drove it around like that... I have NO clue! I can't do it now, even though it WAS a joke!

Prely IS my test car. I'll be doing all the body work and paint myself. I did start it a few years ago, but then with everything going on and stuff, I didn't get to finish(thats why theres primer and stuff all over it!). Then I ended up getting Teegra, and finding out I was preggers, and couldn't do it then either. So now I'll be doing everything on it! Good luck to me on the quarters though!! If anybody has any tips, I'm more than happy to accept them! lol

These pictures are a little older. As soon as I get the poor thing cleaned, and the hood blue, I'll post more pictures!

Oh, and painting it championship white (ITR colour) or Acura TL Blue would look magnificent on this car.

Honestly, I've seen a lot worse. I'm really not too keen on those generation of Prelude, but they do have some nice potential with a power plant swap and solid bodywork.
