SLPR87's 2000 Toyota Echo

The Echo got vandalized in late 2007 and the punks stole the Toyota emblem off the trunk so I completed the debadging by removing the Toyota badge from below the left taillight, leaving a clean balanced look with just "ECHO" across the rear and I have added a TRD badge to the lower right corner of the lid.   If you didn't notice the exhaust tip, that's the point.  Its a 3" tip but the muffler is tucked back in the stock location so it looks as if its just an aftermarket clamp on tip.

SLPR87's 2000 Toyota Echo

My mom bought this car originally in Feb. 2000 brand new,  I was discharged form the Air Force in late 2006 and needed a car so she was nice enought to sell it to me.  I figured since I knew all the history on the vehicle and its condition it was a good deal until I could get somthing else.

Looked and looked for something else but nothing could match the price and conditions I was looking for so I kept it.  I stated taking Auto classes at community college and started finding things I could do and started simple with an Intake System.  The rest is history.

Unfortunatly the Echo was not as widely recieved in the United States as it was in Canada and in Japan as its counterpart the Vitz/Platz.  So parts are hard to come by and I've run out of bolt ons so its time to finish the suspension and start machining.....

Most of the available engine modifications are sold here for the xB and xA but were originally meant fot the Echo and Vitz in Canada and Japan respectively.

Cute car! You've addressed some of the most important areas of modifications - breathing and exhaust! Good luck on your continued mods!!
