When i was 6, yes 6, my first car was a 1986 Toyota Corolla AE86 Levin. My brother got it to build a rally race car and well he did it. When i turned 13 my brother was 17 and it was my first time to rally race. Then my brother was diagnosed with terminal cancer and well when i heard the news when i was going to do a Solo race, i was not concentrated and i crashed on a right tight corner. I lost my brakes and had no choice.
After my brother passed away when he was 19, i stopped rally racing.
Last year now that i am 18 my dad got me a 1990 Toyota Corolla DX Automatic AE92.
It was a nightmare but he got it for 150 bucks (thats like buying a set of tires for those old mini coopers). RUST was everywhere and last year he got it on fall so no time to even do something but do a tune up and that was it. So this year i commited myself to tune this rust bucket into a class C FWD rally car.
I am working on pictures and i am doing my best to document this car as much as possible and so far i got 4. One is where i got the right side fender off to remove rust and add bondo, the second one is where the fender (Right hand side) is off. Third one is when the left side fender has been restored and primed ready for paint (i am thinking of going with a midnight black). And the last one where i was with friends at a parking lot with my JDM Optronics fog lights and side markes on (and yes my healights do work he he). More will be coming soon!
