9/7/09 - Started the tear down on my car wednesday night. We got some work done that night and worked all day Thursday. We worked a few more hours friday night and finally finished it up saturday night! I love the cam lope it sounds bad ass!!! Now I'm just waiting for my tune!!! Here's a few pictures of the progress...
9/1/09 - Today I got my OEM Timing Belt Kit in!! Tear down starts thursday!!!
8/29/09 - Got my APS Twin Vent Blow Off Valve in today and it took pry 5 minutes to install!
8/26/09 - Finally after a long wait I ordered my Evo 8 Timing Belt Kit from RussellM off EvoM and APS Twin Vent Blow Off Valve from 201Motorsports!!!
5/14/09 - Recieved my Kelford TX272 Camshafts today!!! Time to save up for my timing belt kit and then the tear down begins!!!
5/7/09 - Today I ordered my Kelford 272 Camshafts!!! Thank you MAPerformance!!!
4/14/09 - Secrets are no fun! I updated below with the stuff I got in the mail! This GSC Beehive Valve Springs Kit can handle 11k RPMs at 12.5mm lift!!!! And I lost my job so this upgrade is put on hold until I find a job!
3/26/09 - Today I fixed my exhaust today with some nuts and bolts. And I also received my new brake lines from Rotora.
3/25/09 - Took my car out for a little run last night...opened my cut out, 2 stepped it, launched, drove fast all that good stuff. And when I got back into town I started to close my cutout and it should of been closed all the way but I was still hearing it, so I thought it might be stuck! But no that wasn't it at all! I got home and checked the cutout and it was working fine and was closed. Then I noticed it wasn't coming from the cutout it was coming from under the hood! Got on the ground and looked and my downpipe was just hanging there! The spring bolts from the o2 housing that holds the downpipe up feel off during the run and now i'm running off the o2 housing only! Not good! So I had to order new springs bolts for it and hopefully I can find a temporary fix until they come in.
3/24/09 - Ordered my GSC Beehive Valve Spring kit today from AWDMotorsports, and I also ordered Walbro 255 with Install kit, OEM MLS Evo 8 Head Gasket, Supertech Reduced OD Valve Seals, and ARP Head Studs from MAPerformance!.
3/21/09 - Got my car back today and DAMN! does it look alot better with the oem rear springs! I got bad news tho...After about 10 minutes of driving I started hearing this clicking noise coming from my rear passenger wheel. So I took my car home and jacked it up and what do I see? My damn brake line is rubbing on the CV boot clamp! so all of the rubber layering around the SS brake line has be torn off! Maybe the mechanic should of put the brake line thru the isolator on the brake caliper to keep it away from the axle! Well at least they are replacing the brake line for free! The extra lines and brake fluid should be here Friday so my car will most likely be back in the shop that day.
3/19/09 - Dropped my car off at the dealership to have the brake pads, brake lines, and rear OEM springs installed.
3/16/09 - Setup an appointment for Friday to have my brake pads, brake lines, and rear springs installed and aligned! Can't wait for my car to sit better! and have braking power like non other!
3/6/09 - Ordered a set of OEM Evo 8 springs today from a EvoM Member. I'm gonna use the rear springs to raise the rear of my car up. Just a temporary fix until I have the money for Megan Street Coilovers.
3/5/09 - Washed the car tonight...
Stock Turbo/ Engine Plans - Now that I'm around 315WHP, according to my DLL, I'm getting more concerned with the stock block. Even tho the stock block has been taken over 500WHP numerous times! My car is my daily driver so I need to think conservative. The stock injectors will allow for around 400WHP. So I plan on going with a Evo 9 turbo to get to 400WHP. The turbo setup will be a Evo 9 turbo with a ported hotside, ported exhaust manifold, and megan o2 housing. I will have these ported and swain coated by PPI. So I will get as far as my stock 560cc injectors will let me on the complete stock motor! Once I max out my injectors I will start saving for BR Built 2.0 and BR Stage 3 Head. And of course along the way I will upgrade things like suspension and other goodies!
2/26/09 - Order from Girodisc Martin on EvoM a set of Girodisc Magic Brake Pads, Rotora Stainless Steel Brake Lines, and Motul RBF 600 Brake Fluid.
(DLL) Data Log Lab - Data Log Lab. Is a graphical analysis tool. It loads the data logs generated by your cars ECUs and enables rapid and meaningful analysis of the information that is hidden within them. You also need to know your exact gear ratios, size of wheels, size of tires, weight of car, coefficent drag of the car, and so on! So you can get the most accurate reading!
2/23/09 - The past week or so me and Tamer have been working on my tune and trying to get some more power out of this little 4G63 monster! Still doing some tuning so the number's might improve a little bit from the DLL graph shown below.
CHECK IT!!!
315 HP @ 6734 RPM and 289 FT-LB @ 5000 RPM to the WHEELS!...All 4 of them!
General rule - 15% drivetrain loss...315 WHP is about 370 HP
How accurate? Only a dyno can tell...
2/20/09 - Lately I have been having problems with the coupler popping off my throttle body! I have a temperary fix, which is, zip ties up and down the couplers to keep it from expanding. I plan on relocating my battery to the trunk and using the ETS short route upper intercooler piping. Below is a comparison of the ETS short route UICP and the Stock UICP.
2/12/09 - The wonderful but some what pointless Intercooler Sprayer System...There are two settings for the IC Sprayer Auto/ Manual. When in Auto mode it will activate the 2 nozzles for the intercooler once the IAT's rise to a certain temperature. And the manual mode is pretty self explainatory. Push the button and you spray the intercooler. There are some pretty cool things you can do with the IC Sprayer with EcuFlash. You can patch the ECU so that it will spray the intercooler when the motor knocks. Which is pretty nice but I don't know how well it works. Maybe I'll try putting some methanol in the tank and see if it helps any.
2/6/09 - Today leaving work I got into my car...and when I looked out the front windshield all I could say was "NO!" My damn windshield has the biggest stress crack in it now and do I want to pay money to replace it? No...That money could go towards better things!
2/5/09 - Today I finally got my throttle body in...there was a mix up at UPS so it was delayed. Another step closer to sending my throttle body and intake manifold to Buschur Racing!
1/22/09 - This is nothing short of amazing! Post from Mike@AwdMotorsports on EvoM.
Is the Evo IX Stock Turbo Capable of 9's???
"I would have to say with the correct combination of parts the baby IX turbo can run a 9 second pass.. Of course the chassis must be right, tuning in order, and a good combination of parts that make power.. After seeing Most-Wanted's Evo IX RS tonight run a 10.2 w/ a 1.5 60ft on 1 of the many 10.2 and 10.3 passes i can say that a 9 second pass can happen with just 475-480whp.. This turbo was not even PORTED and we only spend 1 day on the car dialing it in. Check out the dyno sdeet below and the timeslip to back it up.. To run 133mph w/o nitrous is amazing from the little turbo that could.."

1/21/09 - Today I got my factory ram air tube in the mail. Give that filter some fresh air!
1/20/09 - Today I got my used Intake Manifold in the mail. Just waiting on the throttle body now. Can't wait to send these into Buschur Racing!
1/16/09 - Saw a thread today on how to tuck your thorttle cable so it's not hanging over your valve cover, for a cleaner look.
1/12/09 - Today I order a used intake manifold and throttle body with 32k miles on them. My plans for these parts are to send them to Buschur Racing. Once he get's the intake he cleans it and then the manifold is marked at the cylinder head and throttle body opening, so it will match the throttle body opening and the ports are matched. The runners are ported 4 full inches deep, it's not just a simple gasket matching. First the throttle bodies are cleaned and glass beaded. Then the throttle bodies are bored and ported to open them up for a larger brass throttle plate. The throttle shaft seals are all replaced during the process. David Buschur says "On a 300 whp build you can expect to see SOLID gains of 15 whp+. These gains will start in the 3,000 rpm range and continue throughout the entire operating range. As the horsepower of the car increases the increase from the ported intake and throttle body also increases. Gains of 30+ whp and 30+ ft lbs have been seen on 600+ whp EVO's. We do go the extra mile on our port work and throttle bodies. This shows in the 12, 9 second EVO's we built using this, this year."

Roll Racing Vs. Dig Racing - In my opinion, if you want to see if your car is faster than another, you must roll race...Dig racing, more than less, determines the better driver in my eyes. Even though roll racing you can still be a good driver or a poor one. Dig racing is more challenging because you have to launch your car, and that is the most difficult part of a dig/ drag race. With dig racing, I'm sure some people think its a little unfair, with the all wheel drive advatage. But all wheel drive is awesome! Thats one of the main reasons I got into DSM's and Evo's. AWD means more consistent launches and ultimate traction! You can't get any better than AWD. So when your excuse is "I couldn't get traction". Theres some things you could do...Get better tires, learn how to launch your car, suspension mods, etc. But I'm sure everyone out there knows that....I found my solution though...All Wheel Drive!
1/1/09 - First Launch with Exedy Twin! I was driving around and saw a friend out in his WRX and he wanted to play around on the highway...So we did a roll race from 3rd...then we went a did two races from a dig...I was a little nervous because I haven't launched my car yet with the twin and they say 750 miles for break in before launching but I kinda broke that rule....1st launch was a little sketchy because I was rolling forward a little but still was awesome!...but the second launch felt even more awesome! Hit the 2-step, and launched my car and the rear end fish tailed out a little bit! Haha Very smooth launch tho, it was awesome!
Update on Tephra Patch - I reflashed my ECU and the NLTS is awesome! Spool up after shiting is almost instant! The best ECU mod i've done. The CEL for knock doesn't work for some reason...When it knock's the CEL light keeps blinking and shuts off after awhile. It supposed to only blink when the motor is knocking but once the motor knocks it stays blinking. And the valet mod doesn't work either...it doesn't want to activate...But the NLTS makes up for it! I might update to Tephra V5.10 but Tephra doesn't have it for the 94170008 ROM yet.
12/23/08 - Already got some more EcuFlash stuff ready for today when I get off work. I edited my ROM for Tephra's Patch: NLTS, Valet and CEL for Knock. NLTS means No Lift To Shift, So I can now be WOT and shift without the RPM bouncing off the rev limiter, which mine is set at 8500 rpm. Cool thing is that there are certain thresholds that have to be met before NLTS will work. I have to be at 95% throttle or more, Load % has to be above 150%, and once the clutch is pushed in the RPM will drop 1000 rpm so if I shift at 7500 RPM the RPM will drop to 6500 RPM and stay there until I release the clutch. All the NLTS thresholds are tuneable of course. Valet is a cool thing to. I have the rev limiter set to 2250 RPM and to activate the Valet Mode, you have to....Thats a secert....And the last thing is CEL for Knock, this is for when the knock sum is 4 and above at any point above 150% load the Check Engine Light will blink, letting me know my motor is knocking. So thats what's in store for today after work.
12/22/08 - Today I did a little playing around with EcuFlash and decided to try and disable my EGR. I want to disable it because I'm getting a P0401 - EGR Insufficient Flow...So I looked up on EvoM.net how to disable the EGR. So I found a thread with the instructions and I copied the .xml code and pasted in my 94170008 ROM. That then gave me an extra setting called Periphery 2, then all I had to do what edit that from EFDF to EDDF. Simple as that! So I went out and reflashed my ecu, started the car the SES light was still on so I loaded up my ScanTech software on my laptop, and cleared the code. Also with ScanTech I can check all the different tests that the ecu goes thru before it throws the SES light. And I looked and the EGR showed that it was unsupported. Thats all now my EGR is disabled!
EcuFlash - EcuFlash is a general-purpose ECU reflashing and editing tool that supports an ever growing list of vehicles. EcuFlash uses the Openport vehicle interface to reflash vehicles via the OBDII port. EcuFlash also allows you to edit ECU data (known as 'maps' or 'tables') in a human-readable format using a XML-based definition system to translate the data. With properly setup definitions, the ROM from any vehicle can be edited. Future plans for EcuFlash include logging support / overlay, and live tuning.

Just some info on my turbo...I have a program on my laptop that can log gm/sec for my turbo...So I went out and did some pulls to see what the highest gm/sec I could get @ 22 psi...At 22 psi the highest I saw was 271 gm/sec...That converted to lb/min is 35.84 lb.min....They say for every lb/min you can yeild about 10 hp...So that means @ 22 psi the most hp I could see is around 358.84 hp...
Break In: 585 miles down...165 miles to go! 2 Launches with 460 miles on clutch!
Update on Evo - Went to check up on my car and it was all ready to go for me. Craig said that it must of been some weird occurance and didn't wanna start after the stall. So I got my Evo back and it runs great!
12/17/08 - Called up Craig the service department manager and he said that it started right up this morning so he thinks its fine for now. Just for some reasom the engine got loaded up with fuel and wouldn't start. Also, I told him that my throttle gets stuck sometimes after my car sits for awhile so he said that he would take the throttle body off and clean it up this afternoon. I need the car back so I can put those miles on the clutch!
Update on Evo - They said they got it started and every hour they tried starting it and it started right up. So he wants to keep it overnight outside in the cold and see if it starts up in the morning after the long cold night outside.
12/16/08 - Called my dad up today at lunch to see if he knew anything on my car but he didn't know what the status was. But he did say that they got it started but still don't know what the problem was. I'm thinking its just because my plugs are fouled and no spark to the engine. I will update later tonight on what the deal is with my car after I stop by there after work.
12/15/08 - This morning I drove by my car and see if it would start before I went to work. So I jumped in and tried...and NOTHING! The car will crank over but won't start! So after work I checked all the fuses and they were all good. Then I decided to check the spark plugs....The ends of my spark plugs were soaked in gasoline and black as hell. Then I looked into my cylinder and see a reflection of my fashlight....BAD! I flooded the engine with gasoline! So at this point I towed my car to my dads work so hopefully they can figure the problem out.
12/14/08 - Bad News! Tonight when I was leaving my girlfriends house around 11pm, I got in my car and it started right up, started to leave and I killed it! Then my car wouldn't start for nothing! I sat there and tried to start it back up for a few minutes but nothing! Tomorrow I'll have to check it out to see whats wrong!
12/13/08 - This morning I picked up my car and boy I tell you what! I was excited! Got my keys, went to my car, started it, and killed it! HAHA! This clutch is definatly different. The pedal feel is almost identical to stock just a little stiffer. But the engagement is harsher than stock of course! I can tell that this clutch can hold alot of power. Exedy recommends 750 break in miles and no shifts above 4k rpm...but I kinda broke that rule a couple times! But you can't blame me, I had a slipping clutch for more than 2 months! I'm going to be a lil' scared launching it for the first time but I will update on that later on when the time comes. Can't wait to let my car rip!
Update on Clutch - Went to check up on my car and the transmission was being a pain. The throw out bearing wasn't releasing from the pressure plate. So what they did was, unbolted the pressure plate through the starter hole. After they got the transmission out, you could see that a retainer or something was wedged inbetween the collar and throw out bearing. I wish I would of had a camera but I didn't...My flywheel was real bad...there were hot spots all over it from being over heated. Also the mechanic pulled out a hand full of clutch dust! My clutch was toast! Hopefully it's done tomorrow when I get off of work...
12/11/08 - Yesterday I dropped my car off so they could get started working on it this morning! After work i'm going to stop by and see what kind of progress the mechanic made. I'm hoping that he has the new clutch in already and it going to start reassembling tomorrow. Would be nice to get a picture of the clutch on the engine with the transmission still off but we'll see. I'll post an update in a couple hours.....OMG! EXEDY TWIN!
12/6/08 - Today I got my new HVAC unit and knobs and dash piece. When I got my car the a/c and heat knob was broke off so I finally found someone selling one and snagged it.
12/3/08 - Today I set up an appointment for next Thursday! Can't Wait!!!
12/2/08 - My 3 quarts of AMSOIL MTG transmission oil came in today! woot woot! now I have everything for the install! I will be a very happy man once my exedy twin is installed!
12/1/08 - Today I got in the mail my Diaqueen OE gear fluid, stainless stell upper and AMS lower clutch line, OEM throw out bearing, and Speed Source Underhood Bushing Kit!!! Now I'm just waiting for my AMSOIL MTG tranny oil and after that I need to make an appointment!!!
11/25/08 - Called up Oil Doc on EvoM and ordered my 3 quarts of AMSOIL MTG!! Getting closer to the clutch install!!
11/24/08 - Today I ordered the rest of the things needed for my clutch install. I ordered a Stainless Steel upper and lower clutch line, OEM throw out bearing, Diaqueen OE gear fluid, and a Speed Source Underhood Bushing Kit for "rifle bolt" shifting they say! Fast and persice! I still need to order tranny oil, I'm going to be ordering AMSOIL MTG Transmission Oil. I really can't wait for this clutch to be installed!!! 6 more days and that will mean i've gone 2 months! with a slipping clutch!!!
11/18/08 - Another good day!!! Today I got my Exedy Twin HD Clutch Kit! WOOT WOOT! Can't wait for the install!!!
11/14/08 - Today is a good day!!! I finally ordered my clutch kit! Can you guess which one? I ordered my Exedy Twin HD Clutch Kit!!! Hot Damn! It feels good to have a clutch on the way! And I cannot wait to have it installed!
11/6/08 - After I got home from work, I got to work on installing my new ETS LP2 lower intercooler pipe...The stock pipe was a pain to remove because there are brackets welded to the stock ic pipe and the bolts were hard as hell to get to...But I suffered through it and got the new pipe on! After i got it on I went out for a drive! Even though my clutch is slipping, I can still get on it pretty good in 1st gear until it hits about 6800 RPM and slips out. But I could definetly tell a difference, spool up was sooner and could tell it was pulling harder! Also it makes a sweet whistle noise when boost hits which is crazy! But you can't hear the noise when I have my cutout open. Can't hear anything over that damn thing haha! I'll post up pictures later tonight of the difference between the two and of it installed!
Turbo Thoughts - Early on I was thinking that I will try and see what my stock turbo can do for my power needs.... I was going to get a ported stock exhaut manifold, 10.5 ported hotside, and QTP O2 housing dump....But I was thinking and I really want a HTA35R kit...So what i'm thinking about doing is after i get caught up on as my maintainace on my car, clutch, 60k service, and brakes....I'm going to start a piggy bank for my HTA35R kit....It will take a long time to save up for the kit but X-mas is coming up and my birthday so hopefully that will give me a jump start on the savings....Donations are greatly appreciated!
11/6/08 - I've been thinking the past week or so about my new clutch...And i've been debating if i should tuff it out a little longer and save up some more for the Exedy Twin? Reason why is because i already know that down the road my next clutch will be the Exedy Twin...So why Pay 750$ for the ACT now and down the road pay 1500$ for the Exedy Twin, when i could buy the 1500$ Exedy Twin now and down the road only have to buy a rebuild kit for 500$....If I get the Exedy now that will save me money in the long run, considering I have already told myself I will get the Exedy Twin next. This has taking alot of thought and alot of research and questions on EvoM. So far it's looking good for the Exedy Twin!
11/5/08 - Today I got my ETS LP2 pipe in! this thing is gigantic compared to my stock lower intercooler pipe.
10/31/08 - Today I saw the new ETS LP2 lower intercooler pipe on EvoM and it was dyno proven an average 12whp gain and the design is amazing! So I ordered it!
Comparison Picture - Stock Evo 8 LICP to ETS LP2
10/28/08 - Today I debadged my car! and it looks really clean! I'm lovin it! Oh yeah and i also got a tinted license plate cover....sorry for the cell phone pictures i'll try and update the pics later tonight!
10/24/08 - I think i've changed my mind. Instead of the ACT HDG6 kit i think i will get the ACT HDSS kit. The HDSS kit is a street disc so it will be easier to slip, not as harsh, and etc. Also I'll be getting AMS Upper and Lower SS Clutch line, Underhood Bushing Kit, and Front Lower Motor Mount. Plus AMSOIL MTG for the transmission.
10/17/08 - As of 8:30 AM: I'm contimplating if I should order my 825$ worth of drivetrain parts or wait so I can buy the parts and pay for the install at the same time...We'll see if I make the order or not....
10/16/08 - Monday my car wouldn't start at work so I needed to jump it, and got it started. But the next morning my battery was totally dead! So after work I took my battery to O'Rielys to check it and yep! it was dead! So i ordered a Optima Red battery and installed that today! Started right up and drove my car back to O'Rielys to check the altenator and everything is good!!!
Picture of my new battery and air breather on my valve cover!
10/14/08 - It's almost time to order a clutch! Ugh, I can't wait for this clutch. I love boost! haha...haven't really done anything to my car except baby it and I put a breather filter on my valve cover, so all that sludgy oil don't recirculate back into my intake.
10/2/08 - Just to let you guys know....It sucks driving on a slipping clutch! Can't boost at all or it starts slipping...it's real easy in the top gears haha...just hoping that it lasts until I get my new clutch!
10/1/08 - Yesterday I was pretty gun hoe on the Exedy Twin but couldn't help to think twice on the price! So I did some more searching on EvoM and found another solution...TTP only works on Evos and they do hundreds of clutch install's each year. So they have came up with a combination that can handle more torque than the ACT XDSS, the ACT XDSS holds around 636 ft/lbs! 636 ft/lbs is more than plenty room to play with, my HP goals still won't exceed that...Well until I reach my HP goals, then my goals might change haha...But anyways, ACT clutches have a tend to lock out at high rpm but the folks at TTP Engineering have solved this problem! They refer to it as the ACT HDTTP...Way more affordable then the Exedy Twin plus they handle about the same...Also people say that the ACT HDTTP is really close to stock clutch feel, which is nice!
***One piece of advice for everyone would be too, RESEARCH! Don't commit to a product only because youv'e heard some say it was an awesome product. Research and find reviews on various products so you take all the guess work out of it. Theres people that have made mistakes and have learned from them. Listen to what people have to say and gather all the information you can so you know that in the end your going to be satisfied with your decision!***
9/30/08 - Today I found something out very depressing...On my way to work I punched it in 2nd gear and the rpm paused once i hit full boost and then jumped up real fast...I knew it was my clutch but didn't want to admit it so I called Tamer @ 4WS Tuning to see what he thought...and of course it's my clutch...So now i have to baby my car and stay out of boost and don't drive really fast because I need this clutch to last until I get money for my Exedy Twin HD Clutch! This is gonna be a big bill...
9/27/08 - Took some pictures of the install...Now just waiting for a little retune..
9/25/08 - After work I wrapped my downpipe and headed out to my dad's work to put my car up on a hoist and get everything put on. Of course I forgot a camera so I didn't get any pictures of the install but later on I can get a picture of my wrapped downpipe and QTP cut out. With the cutout close my car is just as quite as stock, pry because I still have my stock cat back on. But I haven't hooked up my switch yet but I'll pry do that on lunch tomorrow at work. Can't wait!
9/25/08 - While at work I was thinking about my next lil' project for the car and i think i'll be saving up for a little while to get a ported stock manifold, a ported evo 9 10.5 turbine housing to replace my evo 8 9.8 turbine housing, and the new QTP O2 dump housing...I should be able to see some pretty decent gains from this...
9/24/08 - Went back to Lucky today and he started on my cutout...as you can notice on my testpipe the flanges are offset...so he milked those minutes and made a fixture to hold the flanges in the correct position...good idea but that costed me about an hour and half of labor! but he said it will be done tomorrow so i can't wait!
9/23/08 - Today I took off my cat and catback and holy crap! with just the downpipe my car sounds sick! haha but i took the exhaust off so i could finish getting the cutout welded up and took my car to Lucky's Welding and he wasn't even started...So i'll be back there in a day or so...
9/22/08 - Today kinda felt like christmas...I got all my stuff in that i ordered! I can't wait for this stuff to be on the car!!! Already have the Hallman boost controller hooked up...i'll take pics of where i mounted it later...Also i'm taking the exhaust in tomorrow to get welded up...
9/17/08 - Today I ordered a Hallman MBC from Tamer! Way better than my ebay P.O.S.! Also with the help of Tamer, I decided on my next 2 power mods after my downpipe and such....the QTP o2 housing dump and a Evo 9 turbo turbine housing! Hmmm what next??
9/14/08 - Today me and tamer got most of the tuning done and we just have lil' touch ups now and we're done. But he had some good news and below is the file showing my WHP!!
260 hp @ 6078 rpm & 249 lb -ft @ 5187 rpm to the wheels!!!
Thank you Tamer!!! 4 Wheel Slide Tuning For The Win!!!
9/13/08 - Today I ordered a 3" Downpipe, 3" Test Pipe, 3" Electric Cutout, and DEI Exhaust Wrap! Can't wait to put that stuff on!!!
9/11/08 - Today I got the first reflash of the base map and we tuned til' late that night and got about 7 flashes in.
9/10/08 - Today I changed my spark plugs and got ready to start tuning my car! We flashed a base my and logged a couple runs.
9/8/08 - Today I got my tactrix cable in the mail!
9/4/08 - Today I went and got some black vinyl and fabric paint and painted some interior peices because they were a lil' worn down!
9/2/08 - Today I ordered my Tactrix cable! It allows me to tune my stock ECU thru the OBD2 port...soon to be tuned my 4WS Tuning!
9/2/08 - Got my vortex generator paint matched today. Original paint code called for black and some violet pearl! Got it put on and it looks damn good!
8/30/08 - Today I got in the mail my vortex generator and high-temp stickers for my brakes!
8/26/08 - When I got the car the BOV wasn't recirculating, it was venting into the atmosphere. When doing this it causes the idle to be a lil' ruff so I decided to recirculate it back into the AEM intake. After recirculating it, it definetly wasn't as loud but I could really tell a difference in the spool up between gears. I rather have the performance over the sound!
8/26/08 - When I got the car it had TEIN springs on it, the green ones, and I haven't heard anything good about those. People say they sag really bad and on my car the rear is tuckin' a lil' bit of tire so its to low I think. So i've decided I want to get some new springs. The springs i'm going with are the Swift Springs. I've seen pictures of other evo's with the swift springs and like the looks alot plus I hear good things about the handling and the ride comfort.
8/25/08 - Already ordered a couple things for the Evo. As some may know the 2003 Evo Brembo's like to peel so I ordered new hi-temp stickers for when I repaint the calipers Black! Also, I ordered a Vortex Generator, not a carbon fiber one but it will be painted to match the car.
8/25/08 - I can't wait to start modding the car! Today i'll start thinking about the first couple things I want to do to the car. I will update the page everytime something is done to the car.
8/24/08 - The mods that are on the car when I bought it are...AEM intake and filter, Manual Boost Controller, and Autometer Sport-Comp Boost gauge. Also the car was lowered on TEIN springs.
8/24/08 - This day was the trip back, It was a long 7 hour drive home, parents Trail Blazer got a flat and that was just a pain. Found out it gets great gas milage! From Colorado Springs to Hastings, NE to took me one full tank and a quarter! Trip was about 450 miles. But once I got home I washed her up and took her out to show all my friends!
8/23/08 - Woke up early this day because it was the day we went to go get the car and couldn't fall back asleep because I was thinking about the EVO! But we went and test drove the car and right around the corner from the house was a GSR Integra, Prelude, Mustang GT, and a Supra just hangin out. But after I test drove the car it was a done deal and I have a 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII! Picture of the car at a gas station on the way back. Sorry it's a cellphone picture, I'll update the pictures once i get ahold of my sisters digital camera. And a picture of the Evo infront of the owners house and my dad checkin' it out.
8/22/08 - Have had my eye on the car for awhile now and have been talking with the owner off and on, and this day was the day we headed up to Colorado to spend the weekend and pick up my car.
